About This Pub
Ah, The Prince of Wales – it's one of those unassuming pubs in Scarborough that really grows on you once you're inside. From the reviews I've seen, the beer is spot on, always well-kept and with a good selection of real ales that folks rave about, paired with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where the staff and regulars make you feel like part of the gang straight away. There's a real buzz with things like karaoke nights, and it's brilliant for a laugh if that's your thing, plus they've got exceptional food from what sounds like a talented chap named Paul. Being dog-friendly is a nice touch too, and the traditional decor with its memorabilia gives it that authentic, cosy pub charm that you don't find everywhere these days. On the downside, drinks can be a bit steep, so it might not be the best for a long session on a budget, and it does get packed, which means space can be at a premium on busier evenings. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out in the area, especially if you're up for some proper pub banter – just keep an eye on the opening times, as it's shut on Mondays, which is a bit of a nuisance if you're planning mid-week.

A good night was had by the four of us.A cracking pint of Guinness and although the beers were somewhat expensive the fast service and relaxing atmosphere made up for it.
When back in Scarborough we will definitely go in the pub again.
A small, but welcoming pub with real ales and friendly bar staff. Karaoke is at home here and a good time will be had if that's your cup of tea. I bet they'd do you a cup of tea as well if you fancied one. Food was exceptional, made by a man named Paul. Mainly a place for locals to escape the bustle of the sea front, but visitors are always welcome as long as they can carry a tune!
Nice small pub with well kept beer and a good atmosphere. Also it is dog friendly.
First time in this pub, but it won't be the last. We enjoyed a bottle of wine (very cheap at a tenner) while waiting to go to Giannis next door and thoroughly enjoyed the place. A traditional pub, very clean and tidy with some nice memorabilia on the walls. This is now in my list of top five favourite Scarborough pubs.
Been in here a couple of times now. It gets a good mixture of people in and I think that makes it a friendly little place. It is a bit tight when it gets busy but didnt put me off. There is plenty going on, karaoke when we were in. It has a nice old fashioned feel to it with the decor been what it is.Nice pint and nice lady at the bar.
