About This Pub
You know, chatting about The Snipe with you all, it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local hideaway. The atmosphere is spot on – warm and inviting, with plenty of live music and quiz nights to keep the energy up, and that beer garden is a winner for whiling away an afternoon. They've got a fantastic range of drinks, from tasty cask ales to world lagers, and the staff are just brilliant, always ready with a smile and happy to sort out events like birthdays or even a baby shower. It's dead family-oriented too, with a play area for the little ones and being dog-friendly, which makes it easy to bring the whole crew. On the flip side, though, you might end up in a queue for drinks or food when it's buzzing, and I've heard a few tales of the opening times not quite matching up, so it's best to double-check before heading out. All in all, it's a solid spot with more highs than lows, and I'd say it's well worth a visit for anyone looking for a genuine, down-to-earth pub experience in Manchester.

Went for Caribbean Kitchen Buffet, £20 all you can eat.
The food and service were amazing.
My only gripe at having to queue for drinks, then join another queue to pay for the food.
Would highly recommend.
We always have a lovely time at this local, staff are friendly and helpful. Food is always delicious. I would like to counter some negative reviews by saying the Snipe staff and owners treat all children with respect and care. Having a nephew with additional needs they have treated him with patience and respect at all times and he loves this pub because it’s a safe place for him where he can be himself. He loves the chicken nugget meal they do which is just like a nearby fast food outlet.
We've recently started going in this pub after learning they had new management. We booked our baby shower here to celebrate my grandsons imminent arrival. The landlady Kate and her team are amazing. They go beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Everything went to plan.
We've eaten breakfast and really enjoyed the food. Very tasty 😋
We recently had the Caribbean style fish and chips. Very different and very tasty. Patrick the chef is so lovely. He has many years experience and was so good to see him out of the kitchen engaging with the customers.
The atmosphere in the pub is really nice. The regulars are great and friendly.
Despite checking the website for opening times, it was shut more than an hour after the published time. Telephoned to ask when they would be open and spoke to a very confused gentleman who couldn't give me an exact time as they were "doing a deep clean". They're supposed to open at 1pm Mon to Thurs and noon Fri, Sat & Sun. It was Friday when we visited. They should have either altered the website to notify people of later opening or done the deep clean earlier so it wouldn't interfere with opening times.
Me and my family had a fantastic time at this pub yesterday. Dion the Landlady was absolutely wonderful especially with our three children, she let our son put fresh logs on the fireplace and was happy to get him another sausage with his meal free of charge. The food was all home cooked and everything was delicious, the pie of the day was the best pie I have ever had. We had a few games of pool in the pool room too and thought it was great that it's separate from the rest of the pub. We all left feeling like we'd been to an aunties house for dinner rather than a pub. Unfortunately we're not local but if we were we'd be back every weekend!
