About This Pub
Ah, The Sandwell in West Bromwich – it's one of those local gems that really hits the spot if you're after an easy-going pub experience without breaking the bank. I reckon it's spot on for a casual catch-up with mates, especially if you're into watching the footy or having a singalong with karaoke; the HD screens and live music add a nice buzz, and the staff are always up for a chat, making you feel like a regular from the get-go. Plus, with its prime spot near the bus and tram, it's dead convenient for a quick stop-off. On the flip side, though, it's not all roses – some have noted the beers aren't always up to scratch, and the atmosphere can feel a tad lacklustre on off-peak days, almost like it's trying to find its rhythm. Oh, and keep an eye out for those hygiene niggles, as they might spoil the fun a bit. Overall, it's a solid choice for a laid-back evening, but go in with realistic expectations, and you'll likely have a cracking time.

Very decent pub with good landlords next to the bus station and near the tram stop. Great for an early drink before a mid day game
Nice staff and great karaoke using Karafun. Pints are some of the cheapest I’ve seen around too.
I didn't have any food so can't comment on that but I had a few rounds of drink with my relatives & the young barman who served me on each occasion was very polite & welcoming. I will definitely return again
Read quite a few reviews slating the place but I guess it's all proportional. Personally I've found the staff helpful and very friendly. Considering it's location it isn't particularly loud or rowdy. The punters generally respect each other and I usually have my drink and enjoy the football in peace with no drama so have no issues popping in for quick stop.
Looks a very lovely pub on the outside, but a sad atmosphere inside. Granted it was a weekday lunchtime visit, but it's in the middle of the town centre. Beer prices are great but the beers didn't taste quite right so I guess it's proportionate. Got within a few feet of the toilets and got a whiff that it would be a bad idea to go in, so held it in until I got home!
