About This Pub
Ah, The Rose of York – it's one of those unassuming pubs that you might just stumble upon and end up loving for its down-to-earth charm. From the reviews I've had a look at, the beer is spot on with a really good selection that keeps things interesting, and the staff are absolute gems, always ready with a smile and a bit of banter to make your visit memorable. It's got that authentic, old-school feel that's so refreshing these days, independently run and full of personality, which makes it a top pick for a relaxed evening out. The atmosphere is just right for catching up with mates over a pint or a game of pool, and it's nice to see it's affordable too. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect – parking is a bit of a nightmare being on a busy road, and the pool table's seen better days, which could put a dampener on things if you're keen on a proper game. Plus, without a website or any claimed online profile, it's tricky to get the lowdown on things like opening hours, so you might have to wing it a bit. All in all, it's a welcoming spot that's worth a visit if you're in the area, as long as you're up for embracing its quirks alongside the good times.

Great pub , by the road side so parking is a bit difficult but not impossible beer great and a good selection, well worth a visit, I should know as I did the line cleaning there.
This was a great pub to visit, independently ran with an old school design! The counter is neatly presented, lady serving was nice and I had a refreshing pint of Carling. Pool was fun and cheap, although the table is somewhat damaged plus the man mistakenly said press the button when I potted white.
Absolutely brilliant staff loves to have a laugh and is great to people
Clean and friendly, felt welcome when walking in the place, didn't feel uncomfortable at all, can't wait till my birthday and have a good time.
Been going to Batley to watch Fev for many years, never even knew this place was there until last week. Safe to say, i'll visit again. Great company, good atmosphere, great banter
