About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about The Red Lion – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot every time. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a smile and that cosy, homely feel that's hard to beat. The food is spot on; think fresh, tasty dishes like perfectly cooked eggs and flavour-packed pizzas that make every meal feel special. And don't get me started on the staff – they're an absolute gem, always going the extra mile to make sure you're looked after, whether you're popping in for breakfast or settling in for a full evening. Those Oak Pods out in the garden are a brilliant touch for a bit of outdoor charm, and it's clear they're ace for all sorts of get-togethers, even with the four-legged family members in tow. On the flip side, it does tend to buzz with folk, so you might find yourself waiting for a table if you don't plan ahead, and the prices are a bit more than your average local, but honestly, for what you get, it's money well spent. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after a proper pub experience with a bit of everything – I'd say give it a go and see for yourself!
Pros and Cons

The food is absolutely delicious and full of flavour, with options like fresh salmon starters and hearty full English breakfasts that leave you wanting more.
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and professional, making everyone feel right at home with their warm welcomes and attentive service.
-
It's got a lovely atmosphere, especially with those cosy Oak Pods in the garden, perfect for a relaxed meal or even special occasions like weddings.
-
They're open bright and early until late, seven days a week, and it's great for families, with kids' menus and even dog-friendly vibes.
Cons
-
It can get quite busy, especially on weekends or for popular events, so you might need to book ahead to avoid disappointment.
-
With moderate prices, it might feel a tad on the pricey side for a casual pint and bite, though it's certainly worth it for the quality.

Had great experience visiting for the first time yesterday. Absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing, full of flavour, perfectly cooked. The staff were incredibly nice and made us feel so welcome. Great service and even better food. Highly recommend!
We had a lovely meal at this pub today and sat in an Oak Pod in the garden.
Our waitress Katie was brilliant, so friendly, professional and caring. She is exactly the kind of staff member that all venues should have working for them.
The food was lovely, overall a really lovely experience especially as the meal was for my Birthday. We will be back. Xx
This is a mid week breakfast experience - staff very polite and professional. Food was lovely, we had a full English and my husband had to finish mine off as it was very filling. Lovely quality meat and eggs cooked well.
We were looking for somewhere for an intimate wedding reception and had been to The Red Lion before so reached out to see if they could help. We booked a room for dinner with our family (including our dogs!) and extended into the room next door for the evening. Everyone who came said how great the food and the service was and we are so happy we chose to have our reception here. I was so happy to have such good vegan options too! We were able to make the day our own by decorating the rooms too. The staff before and during the event were really helpful and we are very grateful to everyone who contributed to make our day so special. I’m sure we will be back beforehand but we will definitely be having our anniversary meal here next year!
A really lovely pub, I really enjoyed my meal here the food was really good quality and the staff really friendly and lovely. Had a good experience and enjoyed ourselves in the pod it was very clean and comfy.
Shared a starter which was the salmon very nice and fresh, tasty as well
The pizza was lovely and the Lebanese fries
And ice tea was good too. And followed by a Portuguese custard tart for dessert.
I highly recommend this place was our first visit and would go again.
