About This Pub
Ah, The Ravenfield Arms – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Rotherham. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this warm, welcoming vibe where you can pop in for a pint and end up staying for a full meal. The food stands out as a real winner; folks rave about how everything arrives piping hot and in generous portions, and it's all at prices that won't leave you skint. Whether it's a quick drink or a big group gathering, the staff seem to handle it all with a smile, making sure no one goes home disappointed – I mean, sorting out a table for 20 at short notice? That's impressive! It's also a top spot for sports fans, with TVs showing the matches and a decent drinks selection to keep things flowing. On the flip side, though, there are a couple of niggles; the car park can be a right faff, especially if it's full or icy, and some have mentioned rowdy youngsters hanging about, which might not suit everyone if you're after a more relaxed evening. Overall, with a solid 4.4 rating, it's clear this place does a lot right, and I'd say it's worth a visit for anyone in the area looking for a good night out – just keep those points in mind for a smoother experience.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food here is absolutely spot on – plenty of great reviews mention it's hot, tasty, and comes in generous portions, perfect for a hearty meal with friends.
-
Staff are lovely and really on the ball; they've handled large groups smoothly, like serving 10 or 20 people without a hitch, making everyone feel welcome.
-
It's wallet-friendly, with well-priced drinks and meals that don't break the bank, so you can enjoy a night out without worrying about the cost.
-
A fantastic spot for watching sports on the TVs, with a relaxed pub vibe and nice outdoor areas, plus it's got a good selection of drinks to choose from.
-
They've got a welcoming atmosphere for groups and events, like birthdays, and the surroundings are pleasant, with a nearby park if you're up for a wander.
Cons
-
The car park can be a bit of a nightmare – one person mentioned it was full and turned into an ice rink, which isn't ideal on a chilly evening.
-
There have been complaints about rowdy kids being around, even though it's meant to be for over-18s, which might spoil the vibe if you're after a quiet pint.

10 of us came for food, everything came at the same time, all hot and amazing food. Came in a great amount of time and everyone was happy. Can’t fault this place at all, drinks, food and staff are great.
Great well priced food, really good portions. Friendly staff.
Really good sports bar / pub. Highly recommended
We arrived at 5.30pm, the car park was full. The car park was an ice rink, never been cleaned.
It said 18 years & over but rowdy kids all the time we were there.
Brilliant service and food tonight, thank you so much we only booked the day before for 20 of us! Lovely food and service! My daughter had the best birthday thanks to you guys! 👍👍
I can't comment on food as I've never had hot food here, but very good drinks selection at a decent price.
Staff are lovely, the pub is large enough, with sports on TVs. Great surroundings outside and a park a short walk away for kids
