Great food and welcoming staff, been a few times now and always hits the spot

This was our first visit to this venue and I can't wait for the next ! Simply superb, from the greeting on entry which was warm and friendly, to the taking of our orders, the service at table , all was excellent. The food was first class my roast lamb was the best I have tasted in a long time and perfectly cooked. Well worth the extra charge. My wife and daughter also expressed their delight with all of the above. I spoke to the manager after our lunch to express our delight with the experience. That's how impressed I was

The Railway is our go to for celebrations and let's eat out. Booking is a must as it's a busy place, even on a Monday lunchtime when I stupidly assumed we would get a table fine. Fortunately we were able to eat at the bar area that time. I've personally had so many different items off the menu but honestly can't recommend anything in particular as everything is so delicious. The portions are massive but it's so delicious you just have to squeeze it in. The staff are friendly but professional and definitely deserve tipping. I look forward to my next meal there. I'm thinking about the menu whilst I'm writing this toying with what to have next. Go on treat yourself you're worth it. Helen

Food amazing, we went without booking and had seats right in front of the fire 🔥 The gammon was delicious and such a big plateful. A proper gammon steak, ( not a processed plastic one!!) . I had the lamb suet pudding with veg & mash, was delicious 😋 We shared a pudding as a birthday treat and the treacle sponge was also delicious and served with custard. Will definitely go again 10/10 xxx 😊
