About This Pub

Ah, The Prince's Head – what a gem in Richmond! I've got to say, it's one of those places that really captures the heart of a classic British pub, with its 300-year history and that unmistakable Ted Lasso magic making it a standout spot. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm, lively atmosphere that's perfect for chatting over a pint, and the memorabilia tied to the show adds a fun, quirky touch that had me grinning from ear to ear. The food is genuinely excellent; those pies and burgers are packed with flavour and come in portions that'll sort you out for the evening, while the drinks menu is spot on with a great range of ales and ciders to suit any taste. The staff are an absolute delight, always making sure you're looked after without being over the top. On the flip side, though, it does get mobbed at times, especially if you're trying to get that iconic Ted Lasso table, so planning ahead is a must to avoid any disappointment. And if the show's not your thing, you might find the theme a bit much, turning what could be a relaxed visit into something more touristy. Prices are fair for what you get, but they might add up if you're in for a full meal and drinks. All in all, it's a brilliant spot for a laugh and some quality grub, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable pub experience – just go with an open mind and you'll have a whale of a time!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely brilliant, especially if you're a Ted Lasso fan – it's like stepping into the show with all the memorabilia and that cosy, welcoming vibe.
  • The food is top-notch; think hearty pies, delicious burgers, and massive portions that leave you feeling properly satisfied.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home, always ready with a smile and great service.
  • They've got a fantastic selection of drinks, from quality real ales to ciders and wines, perfect for a relaxing pint or a catch-up with mates.
Cons
  • It can get pretty packed, especially with Ted Lasso enthusiasts, so you might have to book ahead or wait a bit to snag a table.
  • If you're not into the Ted Lasso hype, the focus on it might feel a tad overwhelming and not as appealing for a quiet, traditional pub experience.
  • With moderate prices, it might be a smidge on the pricey side for a casual night out, though it's worth it for the quality.

Coolest pub everrrrr! Especially if you’re a ted lasso fan (wink wink!). Recommend making reservations online and requesting a ted lasso table! We scored big time and got THE ted lasso table! We had other guests coming over to take photos (so be ready for that if you’re in the ted lasso booth!). Service was amazing here, we were a little earlier than our reservation but was able to get it in! Food was great, beer was awesome, ambiance was incredible. Definitely a must do in Richmond!

As a Ted Lasso fan this was an incredible experience. As a regular tourist, it was even better. We had some Fuller pints and Old Mout Ciders, with some of the best pie, gravy and chicken I've had. The attention from the staff was exceptional, made us feel very welcomed and we had an overall excellent dining experience.

So cool to sit so comfortably in the pub where they filmed Ted Lasso! Food and drinks delicious. Got a delightful GF bun for my burger and gluten free chips - separate fryer. Really lovely service and the head guy kept winking at me. Very friendly!

Like many other visitors, Ted Lasso brought me to this pub and I’m so glad it did. It is a quintessential English pub with a ton of charm. Obviously being a fan of the show we were all geeking out a bit at first, but that quickly faded and we got lost in the delight of the pub itself. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and welcoming. The area surrounding the pub is very nice and worth spending the afternoon exploring. Thank you Ted Lasso for introducing me to an area and pub I’d otherwise have never seen

Well what an amazing place! Originally booked because we're huge Ted Lasso fans, but wow. Would come back to Richmond just for this pub. Absolutely amazing food and huge portion sizes. The pie was the best I've had in a very long time and had the cutest little pastry cow on it. The burger was good especially the yummy sauce, and the chips! Oh yes yummy. Really good value for the money. The staff are wonderful, so funny and friendly honestly could not recommend this place more.
