About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about The Angel & Crown – it's this hidden gem in Richmond that's been around for over 400 years, blending a bit of history with a fresh, modern feel that just draws you in. I love how the staff go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome; it's that genuine hospitality that really stands out and keeps people coming back for more. The food's a proper treat too, with traditional British dishes given a South American edge by their award-winning chef – think delicious meals that pack in the flavours, though I've heard a couple of folks mention things like the rice not being quite as moist as it'd be ideal. They've got an impressive range of drinks on tap, from real ales to cocktails, and the events like quiz nights or that two-for-one cocktail deal mid-week add a fun buzz without overwhelming the place. It's got this cosy nook with a fireplace that's just spot on for winter chats, and their focus on community and charity work gives it a heartwarming touch. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed pint or a meal with mates, but do bear in mind it might take a moment to track down if you're exploring the area for the first time. Still, with a rating like that, it's well worth the effort!

Thank you so much for your hospitality!
I do hope you will get the right appraisal.
It’s refreshing to be welcomed to a venue by everyone with a smile one their faces.
The beer is fresh and the venue is hidden from the Main Street.
Perfect place to work , close deals or just catch up with friends!
See you next time!
Great find for Sunday lunch. Food was very good and the staff really made us feel welcome. They were superb. Nothing was too much trouble and Dean was funny, attentive and engaging and made our lunch one to remember. He is a great asset to this establishment. We will definitely return.
We went to the Angel and Crown pub in Richmond, and I have to say, I was very happy with the experience! They serve Brazilian food as traditional meals, and everything was absolutely delicious, the flavors were amazing, though the rice was a bit dry. The bartender was down to earth, and the chef even came downstairs to say hello. Lovely staff overall!
The music created a relaxed atmosphere, and the meals were definitely worth the price. I even considered tipping, but since there was a service charge, it was all good. And here's a little secret, we got something on the house!
Definitely recommend this place. Just a heads-up, the kitchen is open from 11 AM to 3 PM, then reopens at 5 PM, so be mindful of the two-hour gap.
Staff here is great!
They have a tapas lunch special during the day. 3 tapas for £13.5
The Smoked chicken croquettes were good, the king prawn comes with lots of chorizo though it doesn't quite come together, and the trio of mushrooms (3 types of mushrooms cooked/boiled together) was okay though excessively salted.
Still worth the money but not high end though perfect for us as a small lunch meal for 2.
The Angel and Crown, tucked away on Church Lane in Richmond is a simple gem of a place, part of the Fuller's empire. It is a small one and a bit roomed pub with a great range of cask and keg ales/beers/ciders to keep us all happy. Great staff offering great service. A most enjoyable place to visit.
