About This Pub

You know, when you step into The Prince Blucher, it's got that cosy, welcoming feel that just makes you want to stay for another round. The beer garden really steals the show – it's spacious and buzzing, especially when they're showing live sports, and it's a fantastic place to unwind on a nice day. The food's spot on too; I tried the fish and chips, and it was proper good, all crispy and fresh, with the pizzas from the garden oven being a real treat. The team behind the bar are dead chatty and attentive, which adds to the homely vibe, and they've got things like pub quizzes that keep things lively without being overwhelming. On the flip side, it does get heaving during events, so you might need to plan ahead to avoid the crowds, and if you're in the mood for something beyond the usual pub classics, it might feel a tad predictable. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed pint or a meal, and I'd say it's well worth checking out if you're in the area – just go with an open mind and enjoy the simple pleasures.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The beer garden is an absolute delight, massive and perfect for soaking up the sun or catching live sports on the screens.
  • Food hits the spot with classics like scrumptious fish and chips and wood-fired pizzas that are fresh and full of flavour.
  • Staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making every visit feel relaxed and enjoyable.
  • Plenty of space both inside and out, ideal for groups or just settling in for a chat over a drink.
  • It's got a lively vibe with fun events like pub quizzes, and its spot near Twickenham Stadium makes it great for pre-match gatherings.
Cons
  • It can get pretty packed during big events or match days, which might mean waiting around or booking in advance.
  • The menu sticks to traditional pub fare, so if you're after something a bit more experimental, it might not quite hit the mark.

Nice place with a big beer garden which plays live sports. I was told the fish and chips was great so we tried that and in fairness, it is as very good. I'd definitely recommend 👌👌

My in-laws come every year from Canada and we always try a new pub for Sunday lunch during their visit. We have had some good, some bad and a couple of uglies. The Prince Blucher easily surpasses them all. The service was incredibly friendly, they have a small, attentive team and you can tell they enjoy their work. The food was perfect. I had the roast beef and I can't remember the last time I ate such a perfectly cooked tender (and generous) piece. Sides were all done perfectly. Nice big Yorkshire pudding and as much gravy as you can handle. My father in law had the roast chicken and he found it perfectly seasoned and very moist. The place was heaving when we arrived as it was a match day for the Harlequins and they do a special rugby lunch. Soon everyone departed for the game so our corner of the pub was nice and quiet. They have a nice selection of wines and beers.

Nice pub with lots of space, comfy seating and a great outdoor area. I've been here for the pub quiz, which is well organised and a lot of fun. The food is great - good, classic pub, options and really well cooked. I think they've changed the menu recently. Everyone working there was friendly and the general atmosphere was positive.
