About This Pub
Ah, The Prince Albert – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a laid-back get-together in Twickenham. From what I've gathered, the Thai food is a real winner; folks rave about how authentic and delicious it is, with plenty of options that mix things up nicely, and it's clear it's become a favourite for many. The atmosphere is spot on too, with that charming old-style decor and outdoor seating that makes it ideal for soaking up the sun or catching the rugby on the telly. Staff seem genuinely welcoming, always up for a chat and flexible with service, which adds to the homely vibe. On the flip side, though, the hours can be a tad restrictive, often wrapping up early in the afternoon, and there's a chance it might be closed when you fancy a visit, based on the current status. Still, with such high ratings and positive buzz, it's worth keeping an eye on – overall, it's a solid choice for anyone after a good meal and a pint, as long as you plan around the timings.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The Thai food is absolutely spot on – fresh, full of flavour, and a real standout, with dishes like green curry and spring rolls that keep you coming back for more.
-
The atmosphere is lovely, with that classic old-world charm, plenty of outside seating, and a welcoming vibe that's perfect for a relaxed catch-up or watching live sports on Sky and TNT.
-
Staff are super friendly and accommodating, always happy to let you take your time with ordering or sorting out any requests, making it feel like a proper local haunt.
-
Drinks selection is brilliant, from craft beers to cask classics, and the prices feel fair for what you get.
-
It's family-friendly and has a great reputation, ideal for a casual meal or just popping in for a pint after a day out.
Cons
-
The operating hours can be a bit confusing or early – typically closing around 4 PM on some days, which might cut short your evening plans.
-
Based on one mixed review, there might be occasional service hiccups, even if the food and staff are generally praised, so it pays to check in advance.
-
The business status shows it's currently closed, which could mean you might not get in right away, disappointing if you're keen for a visit.

Price / Quality relationship absolutely fair. Food interesting and different. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful old world style pub with extensive outside seating and comfortable restaurant with an extensive Thai menu. The pub is tastefully decorated with an old world charm. Today was decorated for St. Patrick's day and even mid afternoon it had a celebratory atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely return ...
I've been coming here for years, honestly one of the best thai places around. The atmosphere is great. It's a thai restaurant at the back of a pub. You can sit in the pub or garden for a mixture of the two or sit in the designated restaurant area. The staff are really accommodating with the food. They will make sure that something is Gluten Free, vegetarian or if you want something less spicy they will tone down the spice level. The food is also really tasty and reasonably priced.
The Thai kitchen here is first class.
The pub is also very nice for a drink or two.
But the Thai food is legit, been several times and it's often full, and even more encouraging - a LOT of Thai people eat there.
One of the best Thai restaurants in London at the moment.
Right. The food here is amazing. So fresh, full of flavour and delicious. The staff were fab. We wanted to take our time and have a relaxing Sunday afternoon meal. They let us order course by course rather than ordering everything at once. The cocktails too, were great. I had the house one and it was delicious. Unfortunately, some of the clientele let this place down. First, we had a table with an extended family behind us. They had obviously been in the pub a while and the children were getting bored and restless - which isn't the children's fault. They were running around the pub, almost colliding with waiting staff on several occasions. One child decided it would be fun to run at the back of the bench seat we were sitting on and crash into it. All the adults in the group did was to threaten to leave for about an hour. Finally they left, thank goodness! Then arrived a very loud, crass man who only seemed to be able to speak at shouting level. At no point did any of the staff or management speak to any of these customers, and considering we were in the 'restaurant' section of the pub, you would have thought they would want their diners to have a better experience. My advice would be, definitely order takeaway.
