About This Pub
Ah, The Prince Albert – it's one of those pubs that really captures the heart of a good old British night out, tucked away in West Bromwich. From what I've gathered chatting about it with folks, the staff are absolute gems; they're down-to-earth and make you feel like part of the gang straight away. The atmosphere is buzzing, especially if you're up for some karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays or catching the footie with a pint in hand. They've got family-friendly perks too, like a bouncy castle in the beer garden and those mouth-watering Sunday roasts that disappear quick as a flash. Prices are fair, so you won't feel short-changed. But, let's be honest, it's not all roses – it can turn into a bit of a racket, particularly on Sundays when the music blasts on and people are chatting loudly outside, which might not sit well if you live nearby or fancy a peaceful evening. There are tales of it getting a bit too lively with some scuffles, and the space is cosy but could do with being a smidge bigger for games without elbowing each other. Overall, if you're after a lively spot with great vibes and solid grub, it's worth a visit, but maybe plan for a quieter time if you're not in the mood for the hustle and bustle.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
It's got a cracking atmosphere, especially if you're into sports or a bit of karaoke and entertainment on the weekends.
-
They serve up a smashing Sunday roast that's often sold out, and the prices are spot on for a good night out.
-
Plenty of family-friendly vibes with things like a bouncy castle in the beer garden, which is a lovely touch for all ages.
-
It's one of those proper British pubs where you can catch a football game and enjoy a pint without breaking the bank.
Cons
-
It can get far too noisy, especially on Sunday nights, with music and crowds spilling out and disturbing the locals.
-
The space is a bit on the small side, so playing darts or pool at the same time might feel a tad cramped.
-
There are some reports of rowdy behaviour or even fights, which puts a damper on things if you're after a quiet drink.
-
People hanging about outside can make a right racket, and it doesn't always quieten down when you'd expect it to.
-
While it's generally welcoming, not everyone might fancy the lively setup if they're looking for a more relaxed spot.

Brilliant place for food and service
One of the last few proper pubs in Britain, people and staff are amazing and super friendly, prices are absolutely amazing and the atmosphere is just beautiful, I felt so welcome here and will definitely be returning, shout out to pardo, love you man
Most people don't believe me when I say I used to be a regular here 15 years ago, and that it served the best Desi mixed grills in the Midlands back then!
Thought I'd check it out for old time's sake, now it's back to more of a traditional British pub. The ladies working in there were very friendly and welcoming.
The first and second beers I selected weren't on! So I asked which ones were and went with a Madri. The place itself looks like it's had a decent lick of paint outside, but inside the furniture just seemed kind of scattered and could probably do with a bit of a spruce up.
We were here for an after funeral drink and it was ok. The staff were pleasant and the food they provided was good, drinks were good and reasonable and it seemed as if there was a decent atmosphere in the rest of the pub. The room was a little small but as there wasn't many people there it was fine.
There is a long passageway connecting all the various rooms of the pub to an outside smoking shelter and the car park which has some quite steep steps to get into the pub. There is also on street parking available which would possibly be better for anyone with mobility problems.
Nice pub little small not too much seating area. Nice and clean place, nice and tasty beer. Sorry this time food was not available. Staff very helpful and polite. Nice place for a drink and a bite.
