About This Pub

Ah, The New Flower Pot Bar & Grill – it's one of those places that really hits the spot for a relaxed meal out, tucked away in West Bromwich. I've got to say, the food is a proper winner; their curries are spot on, with spices and herbs that transport you straight to India, and the grills and wraps add a fun twist to the menu. It's all about that hearty, satisfying vibe, and the prices are fair enough that you won't feel short-changed. The staff can be lovely and welcoming, making it feel like a friendly local hangout, but let's be honest, there are times when the service drags a bit or gets things muddled, which is a shame as it takes the edge off an otherwise enjoyable evening. Still, if you're after a solid spot for a bite with mates after a match or just a casual night, it's worth a go – just keep expectations in check for the smoother bits, and you'll likely have a great time overall.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely delicious, especially the curries that bring back proper Indian flavours – it's like a little taste of home!
  • Friendly staff who make you feel right at ease, always up for a chat and adding a nice touch to the visit.
  • Brilliant value for money with generous portions that leave you satisfied without breaking the bank.
  • A cracking variety of dishes on offer, from sizzling grills and Indian classics to wraps and sides, so there's something for everyone.
Cons
  • Service can be a bit hit or miss, with some experiences feeling slow and indifferent, which puts a dampener on things.
  • Occasional slip-ups with orders, like getting them wrong, which might leave you waiting or disappointed.
  • A few dishes, such as the pizza, come across as bland and underwhelming compared to the rest of the menu.

I visited the Flower Pot after a while, I would say that their food is excellent now. What a taste!!! 😋 My family also enjoyed the food. Their curries are excellent, their taste reminded me of India. When you eat their food, you can feel the flavours of spices and herbs which actually make their food yummy. Will highly recommend to everyone who are food lovers with great taste 😋… Their food made my evening enjoyable.

Unfortunately, the only thing authentic about this place is the disappointment. Let’s start with the service—painfully slow and entirely indifferent. I waited five minutes just for the staff to get my phone order right, only to arrive at the restaurant and find it was wrong anyway. I then had to wait another five minutes for them to correct it, and by the time I finally got to eat, the food was cold. Not once did I receive an apology for their mistake—not even a hint of accountability. I ordered three Chicken Tikka wraps, each of which had more salad than chicken, and a kid’s sausage and chips. Not only was the kids’ meal wrong, but they charged me for something else entirely—nearly £3 more than what I originally ordered. The Chicken Tikka wrap was perhaps the biggest crime against Indian cuisine I’ve ever tasted. It was essentially a pool of limp salad, wrapped around a few pieces of minimal, tired chicken. If you’re craving Indian food, do yourself a favor—go literally anywhere else. Or better yet, cook it yourself. It’ll save you money, time, and emotional damage. Rating: 1/5 – Only because zero wasn’t an option.

Came here on Saturday after the Albion game and can't fault it. Quick service, tasty food and excellent value for money. We had: Poppadoms Chicken tikka wrap Chicken madras Chicken Jalfrezi Mushroom rice Plain rice Chips Kids burger meal Chilli naan I was very impressed with the price. Less than 40 quid for 4 of us (not including drinks). It was quiet in there so lacked a bit of atmosphere but other than that, a great meal and we would return.
