About This Pub

Ah, The White Swan – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper favourite, doesn't it? From what I've gathered from the reviews, the food's a real highlight; think delicious, freshly cooked curries and grills that hit the spot every time, with the chef taking the time to check in and make sure you're chuffed. It's got that welcoming atmosphere too, perfect for popping in with mates or the family for a bite and a bevvy, especially with their solid range of drinks and those Sunday karaoke sessions that sound like a right laugh. But, on the flip side, it seems like it might be shut at the moment, which is a shame because you'd hate to turn up and find it all quiet. Plus, with no fresh reviews lately, it's tricky to know if the buzz has carried on, and there have been a few mentions of menu items not always being in stock. All in all, if you're in the Brom area and it's up and running, it's worth a visit for a relaxed night out – just keep an eye on their status to avoid any surprises!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food here is absolutely spot on – fresh, tasty curries and grills that leave you wanting more, just like Sukhbir mentioned in their review.
  • Service is warm and personal; the chef often pops over to make sure everything's up to scratch, which really adds a nice touch.
  • They've got a cracking selection of beers, ciders, and spirits, plus fun entertainment like karaoke and DJ nights on Sundays.
  • It's a great spot for groups or families, with plenty of menu choices and a welcoming vibe for everything from meals out to takeaways.
Cons
  • It looks like the place might be closed right now, which is a bit of a letdown given all the positive buzz.
  • There haven't been any recent reviews, so it's hard to say if things are still as brilliant as they were up to last year.
  • Sometimes items on the menu, like those crispy chicken wings, might not be available, which could disappoint if you're set on them.

Our third visit here. Food is consistently tasty and freshly cooked. Chef likes to come and check to see if food is to our liking, he clearly takes great pride in his craft. And rightly so, we thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Definitely one of our favourite curry and grill places in the Brom.

I recently had the pleasure of ordering a takeaway from The White Swan, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. I opted for the Chicken Momo - Nepalese dumplings served with a flavourful sauce. The wait for my order was made enjoyable with some delightful snacks and a refreshing half pint of Peroni beer, both of which were delicious. However, the real surprise came when I got home and tried the Momos. The portion was generous, and the taste was absolutely fantastic - a perfect blend of authentic Nepalese flavours that tantalised my taste buds. This dish alone has made me eager to explore more of their menu. I’m thoroughly impressed with the quality of food and the overall experience at The White Swan. I’m definitely planning a return visit soon. A well-deserved 5 stars from me!

Kareoke and Dj every Sunday 3pm till 6pm. Restaurant seating are towards the back, good bar with a nice selection of beer, cider and spirits. Food is delicious every time I've ordered having tried the Crispy Chilli Chios before, which were delicious, this time around I opted for Honey Chilli Chips, Chicken Tikka and Poppadoms with sauces. The chips were a chefs recommendation, they were fantastic, I'm glad he did so. Service is always friendly and that love surely goes into the food. It is very flavourful each time and I cannot resist the temptation to grab another dish when I am here. Thank you very much, really enjoyed.

Came here Thursday as a group of 5. 2 adults, 3 children. Service excellent, great choice on menu, however, they didn't have the crispy chicken wings for starter. No big issue as there was so much to choose from. The food was really good! Most importantly the chicken was really nice in the curries. I'm really fussy with chicken but it was cooked really well and all chicken breast. We had a chicken Jalfrezi, chicken curry (hot), chicken tikka masala, mixed wrap and kids chicken nuggets. Plus a load of sides. Can't fault any of it. Will definitely be returning.

This place is one of my favorite mix grill places. The food is not too salty as you would think from a mix grill place. Since I first came here in January I have since been here with my husband, friends and even had my Birthday meal here with my family. The food is definitely worth a taste. My favorites are the chili garlic prawns and the lamb chops. The mixed biryani was delicious. I have to say every time iv ordered something different but every taste lovely. It is literally a hidden Gem. If you come in the week they have a 20% discount on the food.
