About This Pub
Ah, The Plough – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper gem in Norwich. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the beer is a real highlight; they're serving up some top-notch Grain Brewery ales that hit the spot every time. The staff are genuinely lovely, with that barman who's got everyone raving about his fun personality and top service – it's those little touches that make a visit memorable. Prices are fair too, so you won't feel like you're breaking the bank for a good night out. The interior is warm and inviting, and slipping out to the back garden terrace is like finding a hidden oasis; it's clean, peaceful, and even welcomes pets, which is ace if you're with your dog. On the flip side, parking's a bit of a hassle, so you might want to plan ahead with a bus or taxi. And while the service is mostly spot on, it seems like they could tighten things up a notch based on a few early comments – but hey, it's new and improving all the time. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed pint or a bite, and I'd say give it a go if you're nearby; it's got that friendly vibe that'll make you want to come back for more.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The beer selection is spot on, with a great range of Grain Brewery options on both cask and keg – perfect for a proper pint lover like me.
-
The staff are an absolute delight; think friendly barman with a sense of humour that'll have you chuckling over your drink.
-
Prices are really reasonable, making it easy on the wallet without skimping on quality – you get good value for your money.
-
The interior is lovely and cosy, and don't miss the back garden terrace; it's immaculately clean, calm, and just the spot for a relaxing afternoon.
-
It's pet-friendly, which is brilliant if you're out with your furry mate, and the location in Norwich is super convenient, especially if you're hopping on a bus or taxi.
Cons
-
Parking can be a bit tricky around there, so you might end up walking a short way or opting for public transport.
-
Service is generally good, but from what I've heard, it might need a tad more polishing compared to some other spots – though it's early days and they're likely to sort it out.
-
There's no website listed, which is a shame as it makes it harder to check out menus or events in advance.

Serving reasonably charged nice beer. Location is quite convenient. Parking is somewhat limited but easily accessible via bus or taxi anyway. Would recommend a visit if you're in Norwich.
Amazing customer service!! Funniest barman ever who was so lovely. I can’t recommend this pub highly enough.
Well worth a visit!!
Tallow is a great place to eat if you want a flat iron steak. Good sides and very reasonable prices. Gonzales sauce was great. Service still needs work when you compare it to their other restaurants. But it's only been open a week so I'm sure it will get there.
What one fabulous back-garden terrace.
Immaculately clean!
Calm and relaxing
🦮Pet Friendly 🦮
We were happy to have found it.
Absolutely recommend and coming back.
Great pub, serving predominantly Grain Brewery beers on both cask and keg. Lovely interior, but it’s worth taking a walk to the back and soaking up the atmosphere in the beer garden. Would recommend a visit
