About This Pub
Ah, The Pineapple, it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot, doesn't it? Tucked away in Victoria, it's dead handy for nipping in after a wander around Buckingham Palace or Westminster. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are absolute gems – always up for a chat and making sure you're sorted, whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or settling in for the evening. The food's a standout too; those burgers and chips have folks raving, and at a fair price for the area, it's no wonder people keep coming back. Plus, with perks like the beer garden and being welcoming to dogs and families, it's got that community feel we all love. On the flip side, it's shut right now, which is a bummer if you're planning a visit, and it can get heaving at times, so you might end up playing musical chairs for a seat. Oh, and those weekend hours cut off a bit early, which could put a dampener on a late-night catch-up. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for a relaxed pint or a bite – I'd say give it a go when it's open, and you'll likely leave with a smile.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
The food is spot on – think delicious burgers, piping hot chips, and fresh specials that are great value, especially for central London.
-
It's got a lovely classic British pub atmosphere, with a recent refurbishment that makes it welcoming and cosy.
-
Prime location near Buckingham Palace and other landmarks, perfect for a quick pint after sightseeing.
-
Loads of great facilities like a beer garden, being dog-friendly, and family-friendly vibes, plus they do deals and summer drinks that are fun to share.
Cons
-
It's currently closed, which is a bit of a shame if you're hoping to pop in soon – do check their hours before heading over.
-
Can get pretty busy, especially outside on evenings, so you might have to hunt for a table inside.
-
Serving hours wrap up earlier on weekends, like closing at 6pm on Saturdays, which might cut short your evening plans.
-
While the food and service are brilliant, one or two folks mentioned minor niggles, like perhaps not everything being perfect in a packed spot.

Great local pub. Staff so friendly and helpful. Food great too. Definitely worth a visit.
Really nice place, food was really good and service was really nice! Food price is really good for the area!
Best chips and fish goujons. Piping hot served quickly even though the outside space was jammed on a Friday evening. We went inside, which was only half full, so got a table. Nice staff. My friend left her bag and when I rang up to say we were on table 4, " Oh! Is it about the bag?". Only downside is the music was too loud. We are old! Well run, well organized pub.
Busy pub with good food. Nice selection of beer
Love the new refurbishment of this pub. I remember when it was called The Colonies. Only stopped for a pint. The staff were friendly and welcoming and I loved the atmosphere inside the pub. We didn't eat anything but the food saw looked good. Definitely positive change to how it used to be. Will definitely come back.
