About This Pub
Ah, The Old Bush Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, folks are raving about the food; whether it's a hearty Sunday lunch or something simple like a San Miguel and a sausage roll, it sounds like they really nail the classics without any fuss. The service comes across as genuinely friendly and quick, which always makes a big difference when you're settling in for a chat over drinks. It's dog-friendly too, so if you're out for a walk and fancy a stop, that's a nice touch. On the flip side, while most people are over the moon, one review was a bit lukewarm, calling it just 'nice', so it might not blow your socks off if you're after something a tad more upscale. Overall, though, with that solid 4.6 rating, it's got a great buzz about it – I'd say it's well worth popping in for a relaxed meal or a pint, especially if you're in the Dudley area and want a place that feels homely without the pretence.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely spot on – think delicious Sunday lunches, tasty cobs, and sausage rolls that keep you coming back for more.
-
Service is always friendly and efficient, making every visit feel welcoming and relaxed.
-
It's a proper cosy spot with a homely vibe, ideal for a quiet catch-up or enjoying a pint in a comfortable setting.
-
Dog-friendly and great value deals, like the two-for-one offers, make it a brilliant choice for a budget-friendly outing.
Cons
-
One person found it just 'nice' rather than outstanding, so it might not thrill everyone looking for something more exciting.
-
The menu seems focused on pub classics, which could feel a bit limited if you're after more adventurous options.

Mid week lunch for two with a two for one offer. Service was good with more than acceptable waiting time. Standard of food was excellent and freshly cooked to order. Would recommend.

Great pub, great Sunday lunch. Now has great value lunchtime dinners. Visted yesterday afternoon and had fantastic service and generous home made meals.
Travelling on our narrowboat, stopped here last year so wanted to visit this pub again.
Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. We had a Sunday lunch which was delicious. The photograph is one we took and is a medium portion.
Will visit again on our way back down.
