About This Pub
You know, I have to say, The Old Bulls Head really stands out as one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Dudley. It's got this great vibe where you can dive into some fascinating brewery tours that are quick and informative, ending with a cheeky tasting of their main ales – and don't even get me started on those cobs, they're spot on for a satisfying bite. The place is super welcoming, with staff who make you feel like you're catching up with old mates, and it's brilliant for bringing along the dog if you're out for a stroll. On the flip side, it's a tad annoying that you have to book the tours in advance, and without an official website, sorting out the details can feel a bit old-school. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed pint and good company, but it might not suit everyone if you're after something more spontaneous or tech-savvy.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The brewery tours are absolutely brilliant – short, packed with interesting info, and include a tasting of some top-notch ales.
-
They've got a fantastic selection of real ales from micros to larger breweries, perfect if you're a proper ale enthusiast.
-
It's wonderfully dog-friendly, so you can pop in with your four-legged mate without any fuss.
-
The staff are so warm and welcoming, always greeting you with a big smile that makes you feel right at home.
-
The cobs are an absolute treat – think delicious fillings like pulled pork with stuffing, and the pub itself is spotlessly clean, right down to the toilets.
Cons
-
You'll need to book ahead for the brewery tours, which might put a damper on spontaneous visits.
-
There's no website to easily check details or make reservations, so it could take a bit of extra effort to plan a trip.

Visited with friend for a brewery tour which is short, very informative and included a test of 3x⅓pts of three main ales and a choice of cob. Guide was excellent. Reservation required for brewery tour otherwise none. Pub tour visits by coach a regular feature. Don't know if you have to book these with the pub.
Another great BCA pub all dog friendlythat serve proper decent real ales from micro to large breweries.
Fabulous pub . Great atmosphere. Dog friendly . Good selection of ales and cobs .
Visited for a brewery tour last weekend, lovely warm welcome and a great tour of the brewery and explanation of the brewing process. Then into the bar for some ale tasting and the most amazing cheese and onion cob! Definitely going to be making further visits, gem of a place 👍👍
The pull pork cob with stuffing was insane!
Great local pub that has a very warm welcome by its staff with a big smile, beers kept well and plenty of choice for real ale drinkers and more.
A very clean pub and the toilets smell good too!
