About This Pub

Ah, The Chapel House – it's one of those hidden gems in Dudley that just warms your cockles on a chilly evening. I have to say, what really stands out is how welcoming it all is; the staff are absolute stars, always chatting away and making sure you're looked after without a hint of fuss. The beers are spot on, with Holdens being a real treat, and that little gin section adds a nice touch if you're in the mood for something different. Then there's the live music, which pops up regularly and turns the place into a proper lively hub – it's brilliant for a relaxed night out. On the flip side, though, parking's just on the road, so you might end up circling a bit, and if you're after something more substantial than a quick cob for a snack, you might be out of luck. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back pint and a chat, and I'd happily pop in again for the good vibes and that genuine community feel.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is wonderfully warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you step in.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always quick with a smile and top-notch service.
  • They've got a cracking selection of beers, especially the well-kept Holdens, and a neat little gin section for variety.
  • Regular live music events really bring the place to life, creating a lively and enjoyable vibe.
  • It's a homely spot with simple snacks like cobs on offer, perfect for a casual get-together.
Cons
  • Parking is only available on the roadside, which can be a bit of a faff if you're driving.
  • Food options seem limited to basic snacks, so it's not the place for a proper meal if you're feeling peckish for more.

Bostin Black Country Pub, the Golden Glow beer was spot on, easy to walk in if you're not a regular, family run pub very warm and welcoming. Local group Monkey's Uncle were playing live, they were excellent. Holden's Beer was very well kept and nice Cobs available for a snack. only road side parking and watch your step going to the beer garden.
