About This Pub

Ah, The New Inn – it's one of those places that really pulls you in with its charm, isn't it? From what I've gathered from folks' chats, it's got this brilliant vibe with pop-up food vans dishing out street eats that hit the spot, especially if you're after something a bit different from the usual pub grub. The beer garden is a proper gem, with loads of seating and those heaters that make it feel inviting even when the weather's playing up. And let's not forget the pints; they're solid choices that go down smoothly. But, on the flip side, it's not all roses – prices can mount up quickly, leaving you wondering if it's worth the spend, and parking's a bit of a nightmare, often meaning a walk from nearby streets. Some have mentioned the food not always being piping hot or as polished as you'd hope, which is a shame. All in all, it's a solid pick for a laid-back evening if you're nearby, just go in with your eyes open to the costs and plan ahead for that parking lark – you'll have a grand time if you do!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The street food from the pop-up vans is a real highlight – it's tasty and adds a fun twist to a night out
  • The beer garden is absolutely lovely, with plenty of space to relax and heaters to keep things cosy on chillier evenings
  • You'll find some cracking pints on tap, like a nice Cruzcampo, which go down a treat
  • The service is spot on, with friendly staff and quick turnaround that makes you feel right at home
Cons
  • Prices can sting a bit, especially for the food – it might leave you feeling it's overpriced for what you get
  • Parking's a right faff; you'll likely have to park a few streets away, which isn't ideal after a few drinks
  • Some of the dishes come across as a tad luke warm or thrown together, not always living up to the hype
  • It can get expensive for a group or family outing, making it less accessible for a casual visit

Came here last night for a couple of drinks and to try out the street food van Kitsch Kitchen. 2 adults and 2 kids aged 6 and 12. Lovely beer garden and the kids loved the pods! The heaters were good and kept us warm. Nice pint of Cruzcampo. Love the concept of having street food at a local pub. The food was great and I highly recommend visiting on a Wednesday for Kitsch Kitchen. Wasn't busy at all so not much atmosphere and there was no toilet roll in the men's toilet. Love how the pub is dog friendly and will be returning in the future with our dogs 🐕 A really nice traditional pub and I imagine the pub garden in the summer is lovely.

Went for beef on block, food was decent, not amazing and quite expensive at £14 a box. Very friendly ladies and quick service worth a try but had better.
