About This Pub
Ah, The New Inn, it's one of those pubs that just warms your cockles from the moment you walk in. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are an absolute delight – always efficient and welcoming, which really sets the tone for a great night out. Whether you're there for the footie on those big screens in the beer garden or catching a live band at one of their events like Churfest, it sounds like they've got something for everyone, and the easy access with plenty of parking makes it a breeze to get to. The food's a nice touch too, with hearty options like pie and peas that go down a treat. But let's be fair, it's not all roses; there was that instance where a wee miscommunication at the bar left someone a bit miffed, though they turned it around nicely. And with the operating hours looking a bit muddled, you might want to double-check before heading over, especially on a Sunday. Overall, it's a solid spot that does pub life well, with that community feel that keeps folks coming back, so I'd say give it a go if you're after a relaxed pint and some good craic.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant – friendly, efficient, and always ready with a smile, making you feel right at home.
-
It's got a fantastic atmosphere for watching sports, with plenty of screens both inside and in the beer garden, perfect for catching the big games.
-
Loads of space for events, like their Churfest, with high-quality local bands and a stage that really gets the crowd going.
-
Easy to get to, with big parking and just a stone's throw from Elland Road stadium and the motorways – no hassle at all.
-
They serve up some tasty grub, like that amazing pie and peas, even if you're just popping in for a drink, and the outdoor seating is a lovely spot on a sunny day.
Cons
-
There might be the odd mix-up, like that time with a bar miscommunication that one reviewer mentioned, though it got sorted out quickly.
-
The operating hours seem a bit confusing with multiple listings for Sundays, which could leave you scratching your head about when it's actually open.
-
As it's on a main road, it can get a tad noisy from the traffic, especially if you're trying to enjoy a quiet pint outside.

Very nice pub. Great staff. Plenty of screens inside and outside in beer garden. Big parking space. Just on main road. Very near to elland road stadium and easy accessible from motorways too, just two right turns from M621.
Enjoyed the front room with pool table and stage...The people made it special. Thanks
Visited for Churfest and had a lovely time. The staff were very friendly and efficient considering it was a big event. Reasonable prices and a bottle bar to help with service. The bands were high quality local bands and everybody seemed to enjoy the day. Also, not one bit of trouble which can easily happen at these kind of events. Plenty of families and lots to do for the kids.
Great gig,
Best rock tribute band in Leeds
Review changed, previously 2 stars due to a miscommunication at the bar. The lady working yesterday was lovely & even gave the dog a bowl of water. Amazing pie & peas when just buying one drink and as always great outdoor seating. I think the New Inn may actually be our favourite pub in the area after my two recent visits!
