About This Pub
Ah, the Moon and Spoon – it's one of those classic Wetherspoon pubs that you can always rely on for a solid night out without spending a fortune. I love how they keep things affordable, with pints and meals that hit the spot just right, and from what I've heard, the food can be surprisingly tasty, especially their all-day brunches paired with a nice beer. The atmosphere is spot on too, all warm and full of that British pub vibe, making it perfect for catching up with mates over a drink. On the flip side, though, there have been a few grumbles about pricing errors, like when a deal's label hasn't been updated, leaving you to fork out more than expected – that's a bit of a letdown when you're counting your pennies. And while the self-ordering through QR codes is handy for some, it does take away from that personal touch you'd get in a more traditional spot. All in all, it's a great go-to for a casual evening, as long as you go in with realistic expectations and maybe double-check the menu details.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The prices are spot on – you get cracking value for your money with affordable pints and meals that won't break the bank.
-
The food's a real winner; from tasty breakfasts to all-day brunches, it's often described as excellent and quickly prepared.
-
It's got a lovely, comfortable atmosphere that celebrates British culture and history, making it a welcoming spot for a relaxed pint or meal.
-
Service is generally flawless and friendly, with staff getting things done efficiently.
Cons
-
There can be the odd mix-up with pricing, like mislabelled deals that lead to unexpected extras on your bill.
-
The self-seating and QR code ordering system feels a bit impersonal and might not be everyone's cup of tea, as it lacks that traditional pub charm.
-
While the food is good, it's not perfect – some folks say there's room for improvement in quality.

Mixed. 99p pints labelled only to be told they had forgotten to take that label off at the end of last week. Had to pay an extra £1. Pretty outrageous to be fair. Had my hopes up. Currently pleasantly tasty though
Great breakfast spot. Clean and an ambiance that boasts the British culture and history. They even have slot machines. The food itself was decent with room for improvement. However, their model is lacking in that it is self seating and ordering through a QR code—while that works, they are truly missing the human touch.
The servers are distant and unapproachable, perhaps due to the way it is setup. Food cannot be customized. When you enter, no one greets you and unless you’ve been there before—there is no sign indicating the self seating and order method.
That said, it is a decent option for those staying close, especially at the Residence Inn or Moxy.
No faults here. Great place and food was nice
A real favourite if I'm in the area. Always comfortable, friendly, and good value. Once again , enjoyed a really beautifully cooked meal, yes that's right.... Not something you can normally say about Wetherspoons food. It's a good value pub. Food is excellent.
Awesome dishes and beer for a very good price.
We ate there during our whole stay in Slough, the service is flawless and the dishes always got prepared quickly.
We particularly enjoyed the All-day Brunch with Leffe beer
