Came for 3 nights renting a house about 3 doors from the pub. We came for the 3 nights to the mitre, what an amazing place, so friendly, every person spoke to us. I came from Dundee Scotland, they realised we wasn't local. One customer bought us both a pint of lager that we drink. This is a place you must visit if you are going to go to a pub. FAULTLESS 😍😍

Went there as part of the pool team. We said hello and asked where the table was with a short unbothered answer. Then when I asked for a basic drink (rum and coke) the staff didn't know what the bottle was or that they sold rum. But the price was brilliant and competitive. Maybe the staff was new or had an off day, the next staff was much happier and talkative.
