About This Pub
Ah, The Millers Well – it's one of those places that has really turned a corner since it stopped being a Wetherspoons. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is where it shines brightest; imagine tucking into a perfectly cooked beef burger or those mouthwatering chicken wings that folks are raving about – it's like they've put real effort into making meals feel fresh and homemade. The staff are just lovely, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly, and the whole spot feels clean and inviting, which is a nice change. On the other hand, it's a shame about the prices creeping up now that it's under new ownership – if you're used to grabbing a cheap pint, you might find it a tad steep these days. Plus, the beer selection has slimmed down a bit, especially for real ale lovers, so it doesn't quite have that extensive range anymore. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening with mates, especially if you're after good grub over bargain drinks, but it's worth going in with the right expectations to avoid any surprises.

-
Friendly staff who make you feel right at home, with a welcoming vibe that's hard to beat.
-
The place is kept clean and tidy, which makes for a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy a drink or meal.
-
A great atmosphere with a solid selection of music on the jukebox, perfect for a casual get-together.
Cons
-
It's not a Wetherspoons anymore, so prices have jumped up a bit, which might catch you off guard if you're expecting budget options.
-
The range of real ales isn't as varied as it used to be, which could disappoint if you're a beer enthusiast.
-
Some folks end up confused or let down because it's changed hands and lost that old-school pub feel.

This is no longer a wetherspoons pub... stopped off for a drink.
I was surprised what amazing beef burger I tasted. Beef patty was perfect 👌
I searched for a JD Wetherspoon and this one popped up. Got the tube and booked overnight accommodation only to find out it was no longer a spoons. I enquired on the price and it was a lot steeper than what I had expected.
Nice pub, didn't feel like a wetherspoon, both the barmaid and lady serving the food were pleasant and the pub and toilet was clean.good friendly atmosphere. I had peri peri chicken burger and chips, very tasty, the sauce on the burger blew my head off,I wasn't expecting such a kick but I ate it all, making the lady who served it very happy. She likes to see a empty plate.
Revamped under new ownership, lacks the variey of real ales on draught but vast improvement in food. The chicken wings are amazing! Great selection of music on the jukebox as well. Most recently, I had the chicken pizza, which tasted like home cooking at its best.
