About This Pub

Ah, The Meeting Point – it's one of those neighbourhood pubs that just feels like a cosy spot to unwind, you know? From what I've gathered from folks' thoughts, the staff really stand out; they're attentive and make you feel right at home, which is just what you want after a long day. The location's spot on, practically next to the station, so it's dead easy to pop in for a quick one. Plus, there's a well-kept pool table and a solid range of beers and whiskeys to keep things interesting. On the flip side, though, prices have crept up a fair bit, and serving drinks in small bottles rather than the usual setup makes everything feel a bit more expensive than it should. Some have mentioned it needs a touch more effort in places to elevate the experience, but overall, it's a decent spot with that classic pub charm. If you're heading out for a casual night, it's worth a visit – just keep an eye on your tab!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always making you feel welcome like you're chatting with old mates.
  • It's got a lovely homely atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed pint after work, with a nicely maintained pool table for some fun.
  • Great location right near the station, making it super convenient for a quick stop-off.
  • They offer a decent selection of beers and whiskeys, nothing too fancy but reliable choices that hit the spot.
Cons
  • Prices have shot up quite a bit lately, which can put a dent in your wallet if you're planning a few rounds.
  • They serve drinks in small bottles instead of post mix, which feels a tad stingy and ramps up the cost even more.
  • There's room for improvement in some areas, like the overall ambiance, as it could do with a bit more polish to really shine.

It's OK. I went last week and their prices have gone up ALOT. They give you small bottles of coke cola instead of using post mix then charge you through the roof. Other than that, it was fine. Update Pool table have improved but drinks are still expensive compared to what they use to be and it's definitely not worth it for where they are located in East Ham

Small looking homely style pub that opens up a little bit inside. Staff quite friendly and attentive. Nicely maintained pool table, cleanish toilets. Good location almost right next to the station for a quick pint after work.

This might be my first google review as I use trip advisor. The rating is bested on ambiance. Bar waitress was ethically doing her job. Big room to improve.

Lovely little pub near the station. Has gone through several renovations since the first time I visited many years ago. The guys who own it now are nice guys and the staff are nice and approachable. The beer selection is decent, don't expect any fancy craft beers though, and the whiskey selection is great. Punters can be a bit undesirable at times but you get that everywhere. The staff are on point and there is security but generally never needed. Recommended for a quiet beer after work any time.
