About This Pub

Ah, The Marrs Bar – what a gem it is for anyone who loves a good night of live music in Worcester. I've got to say, chatting about it feels like sharing a pint with mates; it's got that real community feel with its cosy, rustic vibe and a lineup that keeps things exciting, from Wednesday jam nights to intimate gigs with emerging bands. The staff are just lovely, always ready with a smile and quick service, and it's brilliant value for money, so you won't feel out of pocket after a few drinks and a show. On the flip side, though, it's only open four days a week, which can be a bit of a letdown if you're in the mood for a mid-week wander, and the no-frills setup means it's more about the music than fancy decor – great if you're into that raw energy, but maybe not ideal for a quiet chat over cocktails. Overall, it's a solid choice for music enthusiasts looking for an authentic experience, and I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're in the area; just plan ahead and you'll have a whale of a time!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The live music scene is absolutely brilliant – from jam nights to up-and-coming bands, it's a proper treat for music lovers.
  • The atmosphere is so welcoming and cosy, with that rustic charm from the exposed brick walls and vintage decor that makes you feel right at home.
  • Staff are friendly and chatty, always up for a good natter, which really adds to the enjoyable vibe.
  • It's inexpensive, so you can enjoy a great night out without breaking the bank, and the location in the heart of Worcester is spot on for a quick trip.
  • Plenty of events and gigs, including options for groups like hen nights or corporate do's, making it versatile for different occasions.
Cons
  • It's only open a few days a week, which might cramp your plans if you're hoping for a spontaneous visit.
  • The setup is a bit basic and stripped back, so if you're after something fancy or polished, it might not quite hit the mark.
  • Being an over-18 venue means it's not the place for family outings, which could be a downside for some folks.
  • From what I've seen, it can get quite late into the night, so if you're an early bird, you might miss out on the fun.

well what can I say except what a bloody fabulous evening!!! Flloyd on the door was the perfect start, the amazing bar staff especially the lady that appreciated our need for everything to be diet (even the vodka hahaha) and then the acts! we came in towards the end of the first act before the Coldplay tribute. He was amazing and truly warmed up the crowd perfectly. Then the main act! even if you aren't a hardcore Coldplay fan, you need to experience them. Without a shadow of doubt they were amazing. The vibe in the entire place was electric and the act is by far the best Coldplay tribute I have ever seen. you'd be hard to tell them apart from the actual band!!! thank you Marrs Bar for a truly awesome night.

My first time at this venue to watch an amazing tribute band. The venue, whilst stripped back and basic, was absolutely perfect for this sort of rock vibe. The bar staff were wonderfull, friendly and chatty and the service superb and the crowd was amazing. Can't recommend enough.
