About This Pub
Ah, The Market Hotel in Farnworth – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its welcoming vibe, you know? From what I've gathered from the chats and reviews, the staff are absolute gems; they're always up for a bit of banter and make you feel like part of the crowd straight away. The atmosphere really shines during events like live music nights or remembrance Sundays, where it's all flags, singalongs, and a proper sense of community – I reckon it'd be a top spot for a fun night out with friends. The food gets a thumbs up too; it's solid pub grub that leaves you satisfied, even if it's a smidge on the expensive side. On the flip side, it can get a bit chaotic with the kids running about, turning up the volume when you're after a peaceful pint, and there've been a few gripes about things like the hot drinks machine playing up, which is a shame if you're in the mood for a tea. All in all, it's a reliable choice for a good time in Bolton, but it's worth popping in with an idea of what you're after – brilliant for lively gatherings, but maybe not your go-to for a quiet evening.

Decent pub food, a tad on the expensive side, but it was nice.
Staff are friendly and up for a laugh.
Overall an enjoyable meal and I will be back.
Called in on remembrance Sunday..atmosphere was brilliant...flags and even a singer with war songs..she was very good...called in with my great..Great uncle Normandy badges etc..was treated with a free pint...well done staff and landlord...perfic evening..
I visited with my sister at the weekend. The place was quite busy, with many regulars and children. Food and drink were to be paid for separately. The hot drinks machine was out of use, and no alternative was offered. So soft drinks only.
It got very noisy with children, who were bored trying to entertain themselves when no attention was given to them by their guardians.
The food we ordered was ok and freshly cooked. We had almost finished when we were asked if everything was okay. The bar person was trying his best to keep regular customers happy by putting specific sports on tv for them.
I won't be visiting again.
Pink tribute was amazing. The people of Farnworth and the atmosphere in the pub that night made it a night to remember. Will definitely go back for the live music, their 'dark fruit' cider and baby Guinness'! Staff were friendly and helpful. Next bank holiday please serve food a little later than your usual Sunday hours :)
Lovely family pub. A welcome, warm and vibrant atmosphere. It's lovely that food is now served once again, although I have not tried food yet from what I have seen it looks beautiful and other customers seemed to enjoy the food.
