About This Pub
Ah, The Freemasons – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this inviting atmosphere where you can pop in for a chat and a pint without any fuss. The drinks are dead cheap, which is always a winner when you're out with mates, and they've got 90s tunes and lights that really liven up the place, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. The staff are absolute legends; they're friendly as can be and go out of their way to make newcomers feel welcome, like that reviewer who popped in with some locals and ended up having a great time. Plus, it's lovely to see them showing respect with free drinks for veterans – that sort of thing adds a real heart to the place. On the flip side, the hours listed are a bit all over the place, so you might want to double-check before heading out, and without a website, it's not the easiest to get the lowdown online. Still, if you're after an inexpensive spot with good ale and a laugh, it's well worth a visit – just embrace the quirks and enjoy the craic!

Cons
-
The operating hours seem a bit muddled in the listings, which might leave you scratching your head about when it's actually open late.

No website or online presence means it's tricky to check details or book ahead, which could be a hassle in this digital age.
-
Being in Farnworth, it might not be the easiest spot to get to if you're not local, though that's just the way of things for some gems.

Good atmosphere, it has been cleaned up by the new landlords.
Great pub, welcoming and a free drink for veterans on Memorial Sunday, respect.
I tell u late at night on a Friday or Saturday your in for a night. You’ve got cheap drinks , 90s music , lots of lights on for entertainment and lots of people to talk to especially the staff and bouncers. You can always have a good chat to the two bouncers outside
Lovely staff lovely customers rather good ale prices and the biggest bunch of not rights you will ever meet 💙
Went with 6 locals who we met in town , was made to feel very welcome even though most of them went home after one drink drunk , when we're next in Farnworth having a curry we will call in before and afterwards if not sooner, thanks to all that work there for making us feel welcomed.
