About This Pub

Ah, The Lord Roberts, it's one of those pubs that just sticks in your mind for all the right reasons. Picture walking into this hidden gem right in the heart of Nottingham, and you're immediately wowed by the Art Deco interior – it's stylish, unique, and full of character that makes you want to linger. The staff are an absolute treat, always chatty and on the ball with service, which really adds to the warm atmosphere. They've got a solid lineup of cask ales that are well-kept and interesting, and if you're lucky with the weather, the beer garden is just the ticket for a bit of outdoor fun. It's the sort of place that draws in a mix of folks, from arty types to your average punter, so there's always a buzz about. But, let's be honest, it's not without its downsides – it can get packed to the gills on busier nights, which might cramp your style if you're after a quiet one, and the hours tend to wind down earlier than you'd hope, cutting short any plans for a long evening. Plus, with a few hitches on their online presence, it might take a bit more effort to get the lowdown before you head out. All in all, though, it's a top-notch spot that does a lot right, and I'd say it's well worth a visit for anyone looking for a proper pub experience in Nottingham.

  • Friendly and efficient staff who make you feel right at home and serve up drinks quickly

Cons
  • It can get quite busy, especially on weekends, which might mean waiting around for a spot
  • The operating hours seem a bit on the early side, wrapping up around tea time, so it's not ideal for late-night outings
  • Online info isn't the easiest to find, with some website issues that could make planning a visit a tad frustrating
  • Not much chat about the food in the reviews, so it might not be the go-to place if you're after a proper meal

It was very stylish and unique bar. The interior inside was stunning and once you go in you will find the terrace area and they have undergroud area for some performance. The bartenders were friendly and they served us fast as they were fast response when there was some one was not served. Really love this place and highly recommend it.

Popped in for the first time last weekend with a group of friends who’ve been many times before. Was very busy (as expected for Saturday night), but ended up bumping into a long lost friend, so we had the best time! Bar man was also friendly and chatty 👍🏼

This is a really nice, stylish very well maintained and looked after pub. This, to coin a phase: a hidden gem, situated right in the centre of Nottingham. I popped in for a drink so I didn’t sample the food on this occasion. I turned up at 1910 (the time, not the year) on a Monday, so it was decidedly sleepy, but bear in mind that the night was really very young (unlike some of the clientele, including, sadly, my good self). However, by 1930, it was really beginning to get quite full: it’s obviously (justifiably) a popular venue. The guy who served me was welcoming, pleasant and efficient. Highly recommended for a laid-back and pleasant evening.

This is a superb pub. The elegant decor is a delight and there is astonishing attention to detail. There are well-kept and interesting cask ales and the staff are welcoming. It seems to attract an eclectic clientele of arty and interesting people.

The Lord Roberts is a standout pub with distinctive Art Deco charm that sets the tone for a unique experience. The interior is stylish and inviting, blending a vintage vibe with modern touches, while the beer garden is a delight, spacious, well-kept, and perfect for soaking up the atmosphere on a sunny day. I’m not a regular at The Lord Roberts, but whenever I do pop in, I’m always made to feel incredibly welcome. This review couldn’t be further from the truth about such a wonderful establishment. The pub is warm, inviting, and has a fantastic atmosphere. The bar staff are professional and friendly, and there’s an excellent selection of drinks on offer. There is always something happening, from quiz nights to fabulous drag shows that draw a lively and welcoming crowd. You’ve truly made this pub a go-to venue for everyone. Don’t pay any attention to the bitter negativity, this place is a gem! With its brilliant combination of character, atmosphere, and entertainment, it is a place you will want to return to time and again.
