About This Pub
Ah, The Last Post, it's one of those reliable Wetherspoons haunts that you can always count on for a good value day out in Beeston. I have to say, what really stands out is how wallet-friendly it is; you're getting massive breakfasts or a decent pint without breaking the bank, which is brilliant for us lot who fancy a treat without the guilt. The historical vibe from its days as a post office adds a nice touch of nostalgia, making it feel a bit more special than your average chain pub. Space-wise, it's spot on – plenty of room to spread out, with clean tables and a lively atmosphere that's just right for a casual catch-up or some solo time with a beer. And the service? Generally quick and straightforward, especially with their app, plus those free refills on drinks are a cheeky bonus that keeps things flowing. On the flip side, though, the food isn't always perfect; I've heard a few tales of dry burgers that didn't quite live up to the hype, and the occasional noise from the kitchen can be a bit of a nuisance if you're hoping for a quiet corner. Still, with recent reviews being bang on five stars, it seems like most folks are walking away happy. All in all, it's a great shout for a laid-back pub crawl or a hearty meal, but keep expectations realistic – it's not going to wow you every time, but that's the charm of places like this, isn't it?
Pros and Cons

The place has a lovely historical feel, being a former post office, which adds a bit of character and charm to your visit.

Spacious and well-maintained inside, with plenty of room to relax, clean tables, and a welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for catching up with mates.
-

-
The food hits the spot more often than not, with things like fish and chips getting high praise for being spot on.
Cons
-
Some dishes can be hit or miss, like the burgers that were a bit dry and overcooked in one go, so it's worth being picky with your order.
-
You might hear the odd clatter from the kitchen or bottles, which can disrupt the vibe if you're after a totally peaceful pint.
-
With an overall rating of 3.8, it's clear not every visit is flawless, as a few folks have had mixed experiences despite the recent rave reviews.

Great wetherspoons .former main post office full of history .colourful town ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🥄❤️
One of the best wetherspoons. Massive breakfast portion for such a cheap price
Lovely place and I found this when I wanted to have breakfast. They have plenty of spaces inside and the interior looks good. I ordered the classic breakfast set one, and I didn’t need to wait for long time for that. Tables are clean, properly maintained. Highly recommended place.

This is great place if you wanna have a beer and spend some time alone.
We walked in around 4pm. There was pretty decent crowd inside. The place was well lit. We sat near to the kicten and jumped up a couple of times to the sound of crubmling bottles.
We used the app to order. The service was excellent and the order arrived quickly. We did not have to wait for long. The menu is huge and has a lot of options. But if you are big eater, then better watch what you order. I felt the portion quite small for the taste and money.
We ordered British beef & pancetta lasagne x 3, Fish and chips, Crunchy chicken strip burger and some drinks. The taste was just awesome. Wish the portion was a little bigger.
One observation on the Sex on the Beach (Pitcher). Half the pitcher was filled with ice. It killed the taste of the cocktail. what a pity, I got the last serving of the icy water.
The Wetherspoons food never seem to really disappoint. However the burgers were dry and overcooked. The fish and chips were really good.
The atmosphere was good too and spacious.
Free refills go down well with many.
