About This Pub

Ah, Compà Beeston – what a little hidden gem in Nottingham! From what I've gathered chatting about it with mates, it's this cosy Sicilian restaurant run by a lovely family, Angela and Massimo, who pour their heart and soul into every dish. The food is spot on – think fresh, tasty Sicilian street eats that leave you craving more, like the porchetta or that simple yet stunning bruschetta everyone's raving about. It's got that warm, homely feel where you step in and instantly relax, with staff who treat you like family, making recommendations and ensuring you're looked after. The location's brilliant too, right in Beeston with free parking just across the way, perfect for a hassle-free evening. On the flip side, the operating hours seem a tad restricted, mostly to Sundays from the looks of it, and it's currently showing as closed, which might put a damper on spontaneous visits – definitely worth double-checking before you head out. Prices aren't mentioned, so it could be a bit of a splurge, but honestly, for the authentic experience and those glowing reviews, it's probably worth every penny. All in all, if you're after a proper Sicilian feast with a side of genuine warmth, I'd say give it a go – you'll likely leave with a full belly and a smile!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is incredibly authentic and delicious, with fresh Sicilian flavours that make every meal feel like a trip to Italy.
  • The warm, family-run atmosphere is just lovely – it's like being welcomed into someone's home with genuine care and a big smile.
  • Staff are super helpful and friendly, always ready to recommend dishes and make your visit memorable.
  • It's in a great spot in Beeston with easy parking nearby, so you can relax and enjoy without worrying about the logistics.
  • With a stellar 4.9 rating from loads of happy visitors, it's clear this place knows how to deliver a top-notch experience.
Cons
  • The operating hours appear a bit limited and confusing, mostly seeming to focus on Sundays, which might not suit everyone’s schedule.
  • It's listed as currently closed, which is a shame – that could mean you have to check ahead to make sure it's open when you plan to go.
  • There's no info on prices, so it might end up being a bit pricey for a casual night out, though the quality could well justify it.

Great little restaurant. Very authentic, as you’d expect run by a Sicilian family. Food was fantastic, very tasty and perfectly cooked. All 3 of us loved it. Well worth a visit.

I have visited Compà with friends and also with my partner. This restaurant is definitely in my top 5 favourites. Very different and a great location in Beeston. Also up to 3 hours free parking stay in Sainsbury's car park directly opposite the restaurant, so you can relax while enjoying your meal. The food is authentic and tastes amazing, with generous servings whatever you decide to choose on the menu. The restaurant is beautiful decorated and very colourful with a warm welcome from the staff and the service is pleasant. They also have a yummy dessert menu and a nice gesture to finish a free shot of limoncello on the house. Thank you and see you soon 🇮🇹🍋🍝 xx

Went with my partner. We had the porchetta, the pasta al forno, and the insalata siciliana. It was our first time there and the staff were very helpful at making recommendations from the menu. The food was absolutely delicious, the porchetta being the standout (although everything was amazing). The atmosphere is great. It's cosy without being cramped, decorated with charm and character, and feels full of life without being too loud. Would very much recommend.

Do you know those places where, as soon as you step in, you feel like you've been transported to an entirely different world? It’s warm, cosy, and all your senses are indulged in the most wonderful way. That’s exactly how it feels in this place. From the very first step, you can sense the passion, the desire to create something that goes beyond the simple "buy food - sell food" concept. The lady, who I believe is the owner (an Italian), was incredibly lovely. When she noticed that my girlfriend loves pistachios, she brought out a little plate of pistachio cream from the kitchen! The food was absolutely delicious, and you can tell the chef in the kitchen truly knows what they’re doing! The waiter also deserves a 5-star rating. I highly recommend this place because it’s not just about eating – I genuinely felt relaxed, as if I were in a real Italian restaurant where everything is authentic, and nothing is pretended. I will definitely return! Huge applause to everyone who contributes to creating this amazing place.
