About This Pub
Oh, The Kings in Islington is one of those pubs that just draws you in for a proper good time, isn't it? From the reviews I've had a look at, it's got this warm, friendly atmosphere that makes you feel like you're among old pals, and the beer is always on point with service that's generally spot-on – especially if you're there for something like a football match, where it turns into a right buzz of excitement. I reckon it's got that quirky edge that sets it apart, making it a brilliant spot for a relaxed evening or a lively night out. But, let's be honest, it's not without its downsides; a couple of folks mentioned the sound system being a tad overwhelming, like it's straining at the seams, and there was that one tale of being hurried along when you'd rather linger. Still, with a solid rating overall, I'd say it's worth popping in for – just keep an eye on the time and maybe check if it's a quiet night. All in all, it's a decent choice for us lot looking for a good pint and a chat, as long as you go in with realistic expectations.

-

Cons
-
The sound system can be a bit dodgy at times, with speakers that might feel like they're about to give way if the music's cranked up
-
Some folks have had awkward moments, like being asked to move on quickly even if it's not closing time yet
-
Not every visit is smooth sailing, as one person had a right disappointing experience with the service

Friendly little pub with a great atmosphere.
At the Kings pub last night for the Arsenal Madrid game. Great atmosphere, beer and service, cant wait to go back. Thank you Kayleigh for hosting us
Didn't taste the food there but great place to drink. But they could have turned the sound down so that the speakers didn't sound like they was going to break
A terrible experience. We went in at the end of our night and we’re greeted by what we thought friendly bar staff. The drinks were good and we sat down only to be told 5 minutes later ‘please can you move, we’re not shutting but we would like to close the area’. Fair enough. 5 minutes later we were greeted with bar staff shouting at us to finish our half drunk drinks and knocking on windows at us. This was about 12:50, the place advertised itself on the entrance as open til 2, so maybe they work on different time zones down south, but will not at all rush back to visit this establishment
Lovely pub with lovely atmosphere. Altogether quite quirky. Great beer and wonderful staff to assist with your drinking needs. Really enjoyed my pre-lockdown pint. Well worth a visit.
