About This Pub

Ah, The Kenilworth – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its friendly buzz and community feel, like chatting with mates over a pint. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's spot on for a good time, with staff who go out of their way to make sure you're looked after, and a solid lineup of ales and other drinks that hit the spot. The food's another highlight, with hearty portions that won't break the bank, and there's plenty to keep you entertained, whether it's watching the footie on the big screens, having a game of pool, or nipping out to the outside area on a nice day. It's not without its little niggles, mind you – the ale selection could be a tad broader for those who are picky, and it's a shame there's no website to easily scope things out beforehand. Still, overall, it's a welcoming spot that does a fine job of bringing people together, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after a straightforward, enjoyable pub experience in the area.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely brilliant, with a real community spirit that makes you feel right at home.
  • The staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive, like John and Annette who really know how to make everyone feel special.
  • They've got a cracking selection of ales and drinks, perfect for a relaxed evening.
  • Loads of entertainment on offer, including big screens for sports, pool, darts, and even a large function room for gatherings.
  • The outside seating area is lovely for sunny days, adding a nice touch to the experience.
  • The food is spot on – generous portions, great value, and tasty options that leave you satisfied.
Cons
  • It might not have the widest range of real ales, with only a couple on tap, which could disappoint the more discerning ale lovers.
  • No website means it's a bit tricky to check out menus or events online before heading over.
  • Transport can be a faff sometimes, like unreliable buses nearby, though that's not really the pub's doing.

Well when your once an hour bus doesn't come for two hours you need plan B. Walk home and empty your bladder in every pit stop....only fly in this ointment is filling up with a pint! Large Greene King pub. Two real ales on this pit (pee) stop. Good pub. Shaslic likes it. Good pint from their range. Good outdoor space⁹ oddly empty on a November evening.

The landlord is friendly and interested that you are happy with the food, Lots of big screens and when the football is on a great atmosphere.
