About This Pub
Ah, The Keel Row – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper gem in the North East, tucked away in Seaton Delaval and easy to reach from places like Newcastle. From what I've gathered, the food really steals the show; it's all about those hearty, home-cooked dishes that hit the spot, and they've got plenty of choices to suit different tastes, including gluten-free options that make it accessible for all. The team there are an absolute delight, always chatty and helpful, which adds to that cosy, welcoming feel – it's like popping round to a mate's for a meal. It's spot on for families too, with that outdoor play area giving parents a bit of breathing space. On the flip side, it does tend to fill up quickly, so you might want to book ahead to avoid any hassle, and if you're hoping for a night owl session, the early closing time could be a slight downer. All in all, it's a brilliant spot for a good pub crawl or a Sunday lunch, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after that classic British pub experience without breaking the bank.

My family and I visited for lunch on Friday, this is a gorgeous pub serving proper food! We were all very happy with our meals (mince and dumplings was lush) my son was very happy to dine out somewhere so child friendly, he loooooved the outdoor play area. Will definitely return.
This was my first visit, and it won't be my last. The atmosphere was very good, the staff were brilliant, chatty, helpful and they couldn't do enough for you. I had a chat with the owner, and she was lovely.
The food was so good where I normally can't eat a full plate, this one I cleared.
A wonderful place, well worth going to.
Had lunch at the Keel Row today with a friend, first visit for both of us and we both said we would definitely come again. The service was excellent from the lovely friendly waitress and the food was excellent. My friend had the hand-craved ham and pineapple salad, which was served with a jacket potato, bread and coleslaw and I had the hot steak, mushroom and onion bap served with chips and gravy. We both cleared our plates, which says it all really!
Fabulous place, so welcoming and friendly. Food is great with generous portions we had mixed grill and mince and dumplings. Staff are lovely and you feel you are well looked after. Sharon is just brilliant! Beautifully decorated for Christmas with so many community events.
We live locally but rarely eat out. We were passing last week and decided to go in for some food.
I am gluten free and a vegetarian so eating out is very difficult. But they had a good GF menu.
I ordered a cheese and broccoli pasta bake. It came with home cooked chips and salad and was really nice.
My partner got the steak pie, which he enjoyed too. My daughter got the chicken nuggets. They were proper chicken breast so really good.
They have a little play park for little ones out the back and they have a play room inside too.
The staff are really friendly too. We would definitely go back.
