About This Pub
You know, when I think about The Jolly Carter, it just brings a smile to my face—it's one of those pubs that feels like a proper local haunt, full of character and warmth. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you're looked after, and the decor with all those local history photos really adds to the charm, making it a welcoming spot for a chat and a drink. Their drinks selection is spot on, whether you're after a perfectly poured Guinness or something from their extensive gin collection, and it's all served in a clean, tidy environment that makes the whole experience that bit more enjoyable. On the flip side, the opening times can look a tad muddled if you're checking online, so it's worth verifying to avoid any disappointment, and without a website, it's not as straightforward to get the lowdown on what's on offer. All in all, if you're after a relaxed evening with good company and a bit of local flavour, this place is a winner, but it might not suit if you're after something more modern or centrally located.

-
There's fantastic entertainment and a great crowd, with events that make for a memorable night out.
Cons
-
The operating hours listed online seem a bit confusing and inconsistent, so you might need to confirm before planning a visit.
-
No website means it's trickier to check out menus, events, or book ahead online, which could be a hassle in this digital age.
-
Being out in Middleton, it might not be the easiest spot to get to if you're coming from further afield in Manchester.
