About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about The Horse & Anchor – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a relaxed evening. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this lovely, cosy feel where you can kick back with friends, chat over a beer or a cocktail, and maybe even have a go at pool or snooker to liven things up. The staff come across as genuinely helpful and welcoming, which really makes the place stand out; folks like Paul and Zoe mentioned how it's quickly become their regular spot because of that. Prices are spot on for a moderate pub, so you can enjoy a few drinks without worrying too much about the cost. On the flip side, it's a shame they don't do any food – Gary pointed out it's all about the drinks here, so if you're peckish, you might need to plan ahead. Also, there's a bit of confusion with the operating status; it says it's closed, but the schedule shows it's open most days from around midday, so I'd suggest giving them a ring or checking online first to avoid any disappointment. Overall, if you're after a straightforward, friendly pub for a catch-up and some games, this one's a winner, but it might not be the full package for a meal out.
