About This Pub
Ah, The Wishaw Malt in Wishaw – it's one of those reliable Wetherspoon pubs that you can pop into for a relaxed pint or a bite without much fuss. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff really shine through with their quick and cheerful service, whether you're ordering at the bar or using the app, and it's all at prices that make you wonder how they do it. The atmosphere feels bright and cosy, with outside seating that's ideal for a sunny afternoon, and they've got a decent range of beers and real ales to choose from, plus it's wheelchair accessible, which is always a plus for making sure everyone's welcome. On the flip side, though, the food's a mixed bag – some rave about it being tasty and better than expected, like enjoying a meal in the beer garden on a warm day, but others have had a rough time with things like a spicy pizza that fell flat, leaving you thinking you could've whipped up something better at home. Overall, it's a solid choice for a casual outing if you're after good company and value, but maybe skip it if you're in the mood for a top-notch meal. I'd say give it a go and see for yourself – it's all about keeping things balanced!

It's brilliant value for money, with affordable prices that won't break the bank, perfect for a casual catch-up.
-
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with outside seating for sunny days and a good selection of beers on tap.

Plenty of options for everyone, including real ales and wheelchair accessibility, so it's inclusive and easy to enjoy.
Cons

The food can be a bit hit or miss; some dishes aren't up to scratch, like that disappointing pizza some folks mentioned.
-
It might not wow you if you're after something fancy – it's more about straightforward pub grub rather than gourmet treats.

A mixed bag. Great service at the bar & delivery however the food was not up to the best standard. Good price tho...
Bright worm feel to the pub. out side seating. 6 h/ pulls beer. food. And staff good. Lots of information about the building decorating the walls standard spoons menu.
Regular spoons value. This isn't fine dining but a decent choice of pub fayre. Service was quick at the bar and using the app. Staff were friendly. Clean toilets. Premises are wheelchair accessible. Real ales available. Clientele is mixed.
Ordered a spicy meat feast pizza and all I can say is it was horrible, could make a better pizza at home with a wrap as the base. Marked as 3 🌶 couldn't even say it was 1 😅 all 3 of the kids pizza looked worse than a frozen one from aldi for 40p, I personally don't recommend the food from here at all, lack of cheese, dough, sauce and barely any toppings
Been here lots of times in the past but usually go when I just want a quick bite. My partner and I really enjoyed it today and thought the food was a better standard than normal. Very tasty!!! We sat outside in the beer garden which was lovely on this sunny and warm day and a great quiet atmosphere surrounded with flowers. The staff are welcoming and helpful and service good also. Lovely clean toilets which is always a plus.
