About This Pub
Ah, The Harwood Arms – what a treat it is, tucked away in the back streets of Fulham. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really nails the balance of being a proper pub with that extra Michelin-star magic, focusing on the best British produce like game and wild foods. The food stands out as a massive plus; folks rave about the tender venison, incredible roasts, and even little touches like homemade bread that just hit the spot. Pair that with a cracking wine list and staff who are genuinely warm and eager to help, and you've got yourself a relaxing evening that's far from stuffy. On the flip side, it's not without its drawbacks – the prices can sting a bit, making it feel like a splurge rather than a regular haunt, and there were a couple of mentions about over-seasoning on some dishes, which might leave you wishing for a lighter hand in the kitchen. Plus, if you've got allergies, it's best to sort that out beforehand as they can't guarantee no cross-contamination. All in all, it's a fantastic spot for food enthusiasts looking for something special in London, but go in with your eyes open to those few niggles, and I reckon you'll have a whale of a time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely brilliant, with a strong focus on seasonal British ingredients and game – it's Michelin-starred for a reason, and dishes like the venison and roasts are real highlights.
-
The staff are so friendly and helpful, always up for a bit of chat and making spot-on recommendations to enhance your meal.
-
It has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere in a tucked-away spot in Fulham, making it feel like a proper cosy pub without any pretentious vibes.
Cons
-
It can get a bit pricey, so it's more for special occasions rather than a casual pint down the local.
-
Some dishes might be over-seasoned, like the fish in one review, which could throw off the flavours if you're sensitive to that.
-
They have strict limits on accommodating allergies, so it's worth checking in advance if you have any dietary needs to avoid any hassle.

A GASTROPUB WORTH VISITING..
The short version: delicious pub food, friendly & helpful staff and lovely atmosphere. The detailed version…
Service - well we were extremely lucky, but we had a lovely gentleman who helped us picking the best dishes. He made a small chat with us and insisted that my boyfriend received a birthday plate. That was really touching and attentive. I also want to point out that we order two cokes. They didn’t serve Coca Cola and therefore I didn’t touch my drink. He noticed it and again insisted on bringing something else. It was t necessary because my boyfriend would drink it. But great eye for detail.
Food - finger licking good. I don’t like cold soups but as it was recommended I tried and loved it. We shared the snack. Also delicious by the way. The mains are good and filling (for me at least). The York pudding mighty but delicious.
Atmosphere - we loved it. It did felt more like a restaurant than a pub, would love to come back to eat when Chelsea plays to feel the atmosphere a bit better.
Location - nice and lovely neighborhood.
Price - in comparison with other star restaurants or some other places in London not too bad.
Wifi - unknown
The only minor thing we didn’t like was the fact that starter came at the same time as the snacks. It would have been nice if they brought one first than the other one. Other than that no complaints.
The food was good. However the fish though done perfectly was over seasoned. One should be able to taste the fish and not the seasoning. It was very salty. The scotch eggs were excellent as were the desserts.
Went here for a Michelin star Sunday roast. We booked far in advance because it is very popular.
The experience was fantastic, as expected. 5 stars all round. The food was exceptional. I didn't know how much I liked deer and beef tongue :)
The homemade bread and butter was to die for.
The roast itself was special with all the trimmings. I was stuffed by the time we left the restaurant.
Service was exceptional. Staff were so friendly and attentive. The starter melted in my mouth. We will be coming back.
A must visit for food lovers who are in London. Beef short ribs, venison scotch eggs, amazing wine list and impecable service. Second time here and it was as good if not better as the first visit. Will definitely come again to try the rest of the dishes
Tucked away in Fulham, The Harwood Arms is a rare find — a Michelin-starred pub that stays true to its rustic roots. The highlight of my visit was the fallow deer, which was nothing short of spectacular. Perfectly cooked and beautifully presented, the meat was tender, deeply flavorful, and paired with seasonal ingredients that let it shine. It’s a dish that captures the essence of British countryside cooking with real elegance. Warm service, cozy atmosphere, and a serious respect for local produce make The Harwood Arms a must-visit — especially for those who appreciate outstanding game
