About This Pub
Ah, The Harbour – it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a good night out in Lowestoft. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with that genuine, heartfelt welcome that makes you feel right at ease, and the team really go the extra mile to ensure everything's spot on. The food stands out as a highlight; think hearty portions of delicious grub like falafel burgers or fish and chips that are packed with flavour and leave you properly full – it's all about that homey, satisfying vibe. Plus, with games like shuffleboard and beer pong on offer, it's brilliant for a bit of banter with your group, and being dog-friendly adds a nice touch for those who want to include their pets. On the flip side, it's a shame it's shut on Mondays and Tuesdays, as that might throw a spanner in the works for mid-week plans, and the kitchen's specific hours mean you'll need to keep an eye on the clock to catch a meal. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone after a relaxed pint, a tasty bite, or just a cheerful spot to unwind – I'd say give it a go if you're nearby, but maybe check the timings first to avoid any disappointments.

First time we’ve been in here. We received a warm welcome upon entering and the fantastic service and hospitality continued throughout. The food was extremely tasty (halloumi burger, falafel burger, and two lots of hand-cut fries) and the portions sizes were very generous.
The decor was great and everywhere looked very clean and well-looked-after.
We noticed they have a shuffleboard, which is very rare in the UK. We will definitely return soon for some food and a game or two.
Great place. We were greeted warmly by the staff, food was good - we had chicken on a bucket which almost defeated us the portion was so generous! Would recommend wholeheartedly if you're in the area. We were only staying one night in Lowestoft and pleased that we picked the Harbour for our evening meal. Thank you!
After just arriving in Lowestoft we walked past a few pubs that didn’t excite us enough to go in until we reached The Harbour. It looks good from the outside and is clean and well kept inside. All staff were cheerful and friendly, greeting us when we walked in and telling us it was table service for food. I opted for the pie of the day and Mrs D chose the fish and chips, each costing just £13, which is excellent value for money. The pie was packed full and the pastry was beautifully crisp and flaky. The fish was nice and thick with crisp batter and accompanied by a large pile of chips. A great find which I totally recommend.
Nice bar and restaurant. I was staying locally and just fancied fresh fish and chips and this place popped up on a Google search. We weren't disappointed, the staff were friendly and efficient, the service was great and the food really, really tasty. The fish was beautifully cooked and I don't know how they cooked the chips but they were amazing. (I wish I'd taken another photo of the fish and chips, my picture does not do it justice).
Also the door says it's heavy, and it is, it made me laugh for some reason!
Was a bit unsure of where to have lunch, opted for the Harbour Inn. It looks very different than you expect from looking at it from the outside... actually quite liked the inside! We were greeted when we went in and quickly found a table, menus have a little bit of variety, and they also have some specials. Kids menu was also available which was good news, and we was told that we could swap some bits if we needed for the kids!
Food was nice and lots of different options for drinks. We all enjoyed our food and we were too full for desert!
Staff were all friendly, and the place seemed clean. If you get a spot near the window you may also get to watch the bridge go up which is a bit of a novelty! (Both for me and the kids!)
