About This Pub

Ah, The Half Moon Inn – it's one of those hidden treasures in Darlington that really hits the spot if you're after a proper pint and a relaxed vibe. From what I've gathered from the chatter online, the beer is spot on, with brilliant real ales that have people like Neil and Benjamin singing its praises, calling it a 'real ale gem'. The atmosphere feels just right too, especially if you're popping in with a mate or even the dog, as Ian mentioned – it's got that historic charm without being stuffy. The staff and owners seem to go the extra mile to make it welcoming, and at an inexpensive price, it's easy on the wallet. On the flip side, it's not always buzzing with activity, which might leave you wanting a bit more energy in the room, as Benjamin noted he'd love to see more people enjoying it. Still, if you're in the area and fancy a chilled-out spot to unwind, I'd say give it a go – it's got that genuine feel that makes you want to return, and the excellent ratings show it's doing something right.
