About This Pub
Ah, The Green W7 – it's one of those pubs that really grows on you, tucked away in Hanwell with a history stretching back over a century. I have to say, the food steals the show; their wood-fired pizzas and homemade burgers are just brilliant, and from what I've heard from folks who've been, it's all about that fresh, simple approach that leaves you satisfied without any fuss. The atmosphere is spot on too – think cozy nooks, a garden for sunnier days, and events like the massive ukulele band on Tuesdays or the quiz nights that bring the community together in a really engaging way. The staff are always up for a chat, which adds to that homely feel, and it's clear they're proud of their spot in West London. But, let's be honest, it's not flawless; drinks do tend to be on the steeper side, and while most of the carvery is spot-on, you might hit a snag with things like dry turkey or inconsistent cooking, so perhaps give them a heads-up on your preferences. Overall, though, if you're after a place to unwind with friends, enjoy some tasty eats, and maybe even book a room for a longer stay, The Green W7 is worth a visit – it's got that perfect mix of tradition and a good laugh.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely spot on, especially the pizzas and burgers – they're handmade and full of flavour, making it a top spot for a hearty meal.
-
It's got a really welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff who make you feel right at home, plus events like the ukulele nights and quiz evenings add a fun community vibe.
-
Clean facilities and a cozy setup, including outdoor seating and snugs, perfect for relaxing with mates over a pint or a bite.
-
They've got a great selection of beers, both local and classic, and the Sunday carvery has some standout dishes like juicy pork and tender beef.
Cons
-
Drinks can be a bit pricey, which might put a dent in your wallet if you're planning a long session.
-
Some food items aren't always consistent – like the turkey in the carvery turning out dry, which is a shame when the rest is so good.
-
There might be occasional hiccups with food preparation, such as not getting meat cooked exactly as requested, so it's worth double-checking.

Excellent pizza and home of what must be London’s largest and certainly
oldest Ukelele band. Upwards of 40 people gather every Tuesday at 8 pm to practice a repertoire that you only develop when you’ve been at it every week, for twelve years. Part of what makes Hanwell a lynch pin in London’s grassroots music scene
Good Sunday roast, tasty gluten free burger , friendly service, clean bathroom .
Drinks are overpriced but that’s in every pub.
Good carvery but not perfect:
Beef was nicely cooked and tender. The server was not sure when I asked for as pink as possible, saying all pieces were cooked the same, but it turned out tasty.
Pork: Very juicy and tasty.
Turkey: As dry as an old boot.
Side vegetables and condiments: all good
Overall a good choice for a Sunday roast in the area.
A great place with a unique vibe! Green W7 is a real gem in West London – the perfect mix of cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and great music. There's a wide selection of beers, both local and classic, and the food is surprisingly good – especially the burgers and snacks.
Lovely food, great atmosphere. We sat out in the garden and lots of tables and little snugs. They have a pizza stone back oven inside the pub. Lots of choice of menu
