About This Pub

Ah, The Grazing Goat in Marylebone – it's one of those places that just feels right when you're out for a good time with mates or marking a special occasion. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the atmosphere is spot on; it's got that perfect blend of cosy and lively, where you can actually chat without shouting over the noise, and it's especially charming for events like weddings. The food really shines too – generous servings of hearty classics like fish and chips or a massive steak that folks rave about, plus those indulgent desserts that are hard to resist. And let's not forget the service; it's genuinely top drawer, with staff who go the extra mile to make sure everything's just right. On the flip side, it's not flawless – you might find some sides like fries a bit undercooked or certain dishes veering towards the salty end, and the prices do add up, so it's probably best saved for when you fancy splashing out a bit. Overall, it's a solid choice for a memorable pub experience in London, with more highs than lows, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area and up for something a tad special.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely spot on – it's lively yet cosy, making it a brilliant spot for everything from a casual pint to a special celebration like a wedding.
  • The food is top-notch; think generous portions of classics like fish and chips, English breakfasts, and delicious desserts that leave you wanting more.
  • Service is superb – the staff are incredibly accommodating, friendly, and efficient, always ready to cater to your requests with a smile.
Cons
  • A few dishes might need a bit of tweaking, like the shoestring fries that can come out underdone or the steak pie that's occasionally on the salty side.
  • It's a touch pricey, which is understandable given its prime location in Marylebone, but it might not be ideal for everyday visits.

Wedding party here last Saturday. Absolutely brilliant venue. Great atmosphere, perfect room. Food was excellent and plenty of it, even down to the hot chocolate cookie and ice cream especially for my grandson. Drinks flowed freely and the service was superb. Staff catered to everyone's requests with a smile. My daughter and now husband had a beautiful wedding and the after party at this venue gave them a complete day to remember. Big thanks to all staff and would highly recommend this venue.

Porterhouse 1kg steak all the way - fabulous. Shame it wasn’t served with triple cooked chips - else it would have been a five star effort. The shoestring fries were a little underdone and never work with a steak of this nature. Still a great meal and the highlight was the cookie dessert. We will be back - hope for the chips next time.

Excellent pub in the heart of Marylebone. The English breakfast was spot on, and the fish and chips were fresh and full of flavor. We liked it so much, we went back twice during our stay

Only had dinner here (so cannot comment on the hotel) but it was a lovely pub meal with a great atmosphere. Excellent and attentive service. We had the scotch egg to share and we each had a main - fish and chips, the steak pie and a half roast chicken. Steak pie was a bit on the salty side but we were happy overall! Large portions as well, so although on the pricy side we all struggled to finish our mains. Would visit again if in the area!

Only had Sunday lunch so cannot comment on the rooms. Service staff were very accommodating, friendly and efficient. Food serving were generous. As you would expect, due to its location, the place is a bit pricey but good for special occasions. Nice ambience and you can actually talk to people because it doesn't have blaring music on.
