About This Pub

You know, chatting about The Audley Public House feels like sharing a pint with mates – it's got this wonderful mix of old-school charm and contemporary art that really sets it apart. I love how they've kept the Victorian building's character while adding that eye-catching ceiling artwork; it's not every day you tuck into a meal under something so special. The food hits the mark too, with straightforward pub favourites like pies and oysters made from fresh, local produce – it's hearty and done just right. And the drinks selection is solid, with great beers on tap from independent brewers. The team behind the bar are always cheerful and on point, which makes even a quick visit feel relaxed. On the downside, it does get absolutely buzzing, especially mid-week or on weekends, so you might have to play the waiting game for a spot. Plus, being in posh Mayfair, the prices aren't shy, and that wine bill can sneak up on you. All in all, it's a brilliant spot for a catch-up over good grub, but it's best if you're up for a bit of a splurge and don't mind the crowds – definitely one to try if you're after that authentic London pub experience with a twist.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The interior is absolutely stunning, with that incredible art installation on the ceiling – it's like stepping into a piece of history mixed with modern flair.
  • The food is spot on; think classic pub dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients from local suppliers, like a proper Sunday roast or tasty bar snacks.
  • Service is warm and efficient, even when things get busy, making you feel right at home.
  • It's dog-friendly, which is a lovely touch if you're popping in with your four-legged mate.
  • No reservations needed, so you can just wander in for a pint and soak up the atmosphere without any fuss.
Cons
  • It can get really packed, especially on Friday nights, so you might end up waiting for a table or squeezing in.
  • Prices are on the higher side, particularly for wine, which might make you wince a bit given the Mayfair location.
  • The overall cost adds up quickly, so it might not be the best spot if you're watching your wallet.

Beautiful interior - how often do you get to eat under a Lucien Freud? - and the food matches the art. Excellent execution, and great service. Comes at a price, but quality didn’t have you questioning the bill.

A beautiful pub in Mayfair. They also serve food. I’ve been there quite a few times, always without a reservation, but always managed to get a table without having to wait too long.

Favourite central London pub by far. The food is absolutely stunning. Good drinks selection, wine somewhat overpriced but given the post code it's to be expected for The gamble for a table for food is always interesting and heart racing, but once you have one, it's worth it Great atmosphere, never a bad time here at all!

A friend from the London area highly recommended this Mayfair pub for their delicious bangers and mash, and I'm glad I took their advice—it did not disappoint! After a long stroll in the area, we settled down and ordered the bangers, prawns, and a chopped salad. Delicious!! The bartender was fantastic, adding to our enjoyable experience. As someone visiting from Chicago, I really loved the ambiance of the pub—the beautiful woodwork, cozy booths, and all the delightful British accents swirling around us made it feel truly special. It was definitely well worth the visit!
