About This Pub
Ah, The Grange Farm, what a gem of a pub tucked away in Oadby, Leicester – it's got that classic country feel with its 150-year-old building and a history tied to local brewing that just adds to the charm. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, folks are raving about the food; those Sunday roasts sound like a proper treat, with massive portions of meat, veg, and Yorkshire puds that leave you feeling well satisfied. The atmosphere is just lovely too – imagine sinking into a seat by a crackling log fire or enjoying a drink in the beautiful gardens on a sunny day, especially if you're out walking the dog or visiting nearby spots like the Botanic Gardens or the racecourse. The bar's well-stocked with cask ales, wines, and gins, so there's something for everyone. On the flip side, though, I've heard a couple of grumbles about delivery orders falling short, like skimpy fish and chips that didn't quite hit the mark, so maybe it's best enjoyed in person to get the full experience. Overall, with a solid 4.2 rating from heaps of reviews, it's a place I'd recommend for a relaxed outing – just keep expectations in check for takeaways, and you're in for a right good time.
Pros and Cons
Pros

The food is absolutely spot on, especially their Sunday roasts – think generous portions, piping hot dishes, and flavours that hit the spot every time.
-
It's got such a welcoming atmosphere with beautiful gardens and cosy log fires, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed catch-up or a wander after exploring the nearby attractions.
-
The service is top-notch; the staff are friendly, efficient, and really make you feel at home.
-
Being dog-friendly is a real bonus – it's great for those of us who like to bring our furry friends along for a pint and a bite.
-
The location near Leicester Racecourse and the Botanic Gardens means there's plenty to do before or after your visit, adding to the whole experience.
Cons
-
Delivery orders can be a bit of a letdown, with some reports of tiny portions and underwhelming quality, like that disappointing fish and chips that didn't live up to expectations.
-
While most experiences are positive, there might be the odd inconsistency, so it's worth popping in yourself rather than relying on takeaways.

A great little find..
I go past many a pub, many times a day as I’m teaching driving for a lesson. This is one of the many places that I’ve said “I’ll go in there one day..”
8 years on, I’m glad I did. I was being treated by my tribe for Father’s Day Sunday dinner.
Lovely looking outdoors area, plenty of parking.
A warm welcome and you feel like they are glad to see you.
Seated quickly, drinks taken quickly.
Ideas and suggestions offered and alternatives discussed.
Enthusiastic about the menu and they know enough about what’s on it when you ask.
I enjoyed starters, main and dessert. Enthusiasm isn’t something you can fake and everyone seems so keen.
It is definitely a place worth a visit, and definitely a place I’d visit again.
Decent tea served too and you can tell a place that cuts corners by the quality of the tea, and the condiments.
Emilija did an ace job looking after us.
I’m not blowing smoke up their a$$ to win a free dinner. If you look across my profile you’ll see I review lots of places and always honestly.
I’m not one to normally leave bad reviews but I ordered from Deliveroo and what I got was a joke! £17.25 for Fish & Chips and the portion size was tiny, small handful of chips that were stuck to the cardboard. Fish wasn’t nice just chewy. I ate one chip before taking this picture. Shame as previous orders have been good.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Sunday Roast & Service
I had a truly excellent Sunday roast — the portions were generous, the food was piping hot, and the seasoning was absolutely spot on. Every bite I was full of rich, comforting flavor, just the way a classic roast should be.
The setting was just as impressive: clean, calm, and relaxed, making it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a great meal. It’s easy to find and there’s plenty of parking available, which made the visit even more convenient.
A big shout-out to Emilija for her outstanding service — she was attentive, and incredibly helpful, offering a full run-down of the menu, specials, and deals. She made sure everything was to my liking and added a really personal touch to the whole experience.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a satisfying Sunday roast in a peaceful setting with top-tier service.
Wow, blown away by the Sunday roast, we had the meat trio and the pork belly with crackling, we added the extra that were on offer 3 for £10, lots of potatoes, roasted vegetables and yorkshires and the meat gravy was so good. We finished it off with the mini pudding annd coffee, all was absolutely stunning and great value for money! Along with the great service from the staff friendly and polite and lovely atmosphere definitely worth a visit!
The venue is lovely, very relaxing and quirky atmosphere. The food was delicious, the service was quick and efficient. The restaurant and bar staff were all friendly and welcoming.
