About This Pub

Ah, The Goodrest Tavern – it's one of those unpretentious pubs in Worcester that just feels like a proper community hub, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got that warm, welcoming feel with staff who are dead polite and always up for a chat, which really makes the place shine. The beers are reasonably priced, and there's a good variety to pick from, plus Sky Sports on the telly for when you're catching the game. That big beer garden and function room are absolute gems for hosting a birthday bash or just soaking up some fresh air, and folks have raved about the atmosphere being spot on for a good laugh with friends. On the flip side, though, parking's a bit of a headache – they've flogged off some spaces, so you might find yourself circling the streets, which could put a dampener on things if you're driving over. And while it's got plenty going for it with a solid 3.9 rating, the beer choices don't go much beyond the basics like Stella, so if you're a craft ale enthusiast, it might not quite hit the mark. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back evening, but I'd say it's best if you're local or don't mind a bit of hassle – worth popping in for the friendly buzz, just manage your expectations on the extras.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are always polite and friendly, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • Beers are well-priced, so you won't break the bank for a good pint.
  • It's got a cracking big beer garden and a function room, perfect for parties or just enjoying the outdoors on a sunny day.
  • Loads of beer options to choose from, and they've got Sky Sports on, which is brilliant for watching the match.
  • The atmosphere is spot on – lively and welcoming, especially for events or a casual get-together.
Cons
  • Parking can be a right faff; they've sold off some spaces to the Co-op, so you might end up hunting for a spot on the street.
  • The beer selection is a tad limited – mostly Stella as the premium option, so if you're after something more fancy, you might be out of luck.
  • No website or online presence means it's not the easiest to check details before you go, which is a bit of a shame.

Not bad, polite staff, beer well priced. Just one problem no carparking spaces, they sold it off to the CO OP. We had to park on the street. Found out the a little carpark on the side of the building, to late when you already parked on the street.

Proper nice locals estate style pub, we were just visiting but locals are lucky to have a friendly local like this with Sky Sports too. Would love a premium beer apart from Stella but no biggie. Would return
