About This Pub
Ah, The Globe Pub & Kitchen, tucked away in Heathrow Terminal 5 – it's one of those places that really captures the essence of a modern British pub, even in the midst of an airport hustle. I have to say, what stands out most is the warm service; stories from folks like Hanaa and Traci show how the team bends over backwards to sort you out, whether it's handling a delayed flight or accommodating a big group with ease. The food is another highlight – freshly prepared with local ingredients, you've got everything from a proper full English breakfast to cracking burgers and sharing plates that are perfect for a quick bite. And let's not forget the beers; their own Big Smoke Brew Co offerings are spot on for a hoppy refreshment. On the flip side, though, it's not all roses – prices can sting a bit for what ends up on your plate, and there have been tales of running out of basics like mayo or finding glasses that aren't quite up to scratch, which does take the shine off. Overall, it's a welcoming haven in the terminal, but I'd suggest keeping expectations in check for those smaller slip-ups, especially if you're after something straightforward and reliable before jetting off.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The service is top-notch, with friendly staff like Walden and Stanley going the extra mile to make you feel welcome, especially when dealing with flight delays or dietary needs.
-
They've got a fantastic selection of fresh, locally sourced food – think hearty breakfasts, juicy burgers, and tasty sharing plates that hit the spot after a long journey.
-
The beer range is brilliant, featuring brews from their own Big Smoke Brew Co, alongside other favourites, making it a great spot for a relaxing pint in the airport.
-
It's a cosy and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for unwinding before or after a flight, with options for groups and special requirements like halal food.
Cons
-
Prices can feel a bit steep for what you get, like shelling out £22 for a burger and a drink, which might not always live up to the cost.
-
Occasionally, they run out of simple things like mayo, which is a shame when you're looking forward to the full experience.
-
Glasses aren't always cleaned properly, which can put a damper on things and make you think twice about that drink.
-
Service might not be consistent across the board, with some needing to chase down staff for attention, even in a busy airport setting.

Great service and lovely people. Walden looked after me for 3 hours when my flight got cancelled and was waiting for the new flight. Loved the smoothies.
Thank you .
9 of us showed up for dinner: happily accommodated our group, best waiter ever making whatever worked for us work for him. Exactly what you need after traveling. The food was perfect. If you like a good burger, do it, you will not regret it. Two of us even split a burger, not because it was big but we were just not that hungry and he immediately offered to cut it in half for us! No judgement. Thank you Walden and Paul!
Ingrida and Stanley were fantastic! Best pub in Heathrow - they give the best service and Stanley was especially so conscious of our halal requirements and allergies!!
Thank you for the best meal and ambience!
I travel to and from Heathrow airport T5 a few times a month and I always enjoy a nice meal here. I definitely recommend this pub to chill out before or after a flight! Thanks to Walden for the great service!
Food is “okay”. The last 2 times I visited they ran out of mayo. Shame for a £22 bill for a burger and a drink. And please clean your glasses properly. I decided to drink from the bottle because of it. That cant be unseen, but it feels like no one cares. Also make sure you approach a member of staff otherwise you will be unnoticed and might end up not being served. Happened a few times to me even when its not busy. Overall not a great experience and its definitely overpriced for its portions and quality. If you want something better go past security I would recommend. And I know I will prob get a response saying “thank you for the feedback it helps us improving” - please do improve.
