About This Pub

Ah, The Gallery Pub – it's one of those spots in London that you might pop into for a casual drink, especially if you're in the Pimlico area, as it's right near the tube and some cracking sights. From what I've gathered from folks who've been there, it's got this modern, comfy interior that makes you want to settle in for a chat, and they've a solid lineup of lagers that could hit the spot on a lazy afternoon. Plus, the outdoor benches with a bit of greenery are perfect for when the weather's playing nice. But, and it's a big but, some of the staff can be a tad brusque – we've heard tales of them being outright rude over nothing, which really knocks the wind out of the experience. It's a shame because the pub's gone a bit downhill lately; things like dirty walls and clutter make it feel less inviting than it used to, and the food doesn't seem to be up to scratch anymore. Overall, if you're after a straightforward pub crawl, it might still be worth a go, but go in with your eyes open and maybe keep expectations in check for a more relaxed outing.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The location is spot on in Pimlico, making it super convenient for a quick pint after exploring London.
  • It's got a modern and comfy interior that feels welcoming and relaxed.
  • They offer a great selection of lagers, and there's outdoor seating with some nice greenery to enjoy on a sunny day.
Cons
  • Some of the staff come across as quite rude and unwelcoming, which can really spoil the atmosphere.
  • The place has started to look a bit shabby, with dirty walls and clutter that takes away from the charm.
  • Food quality seems to have gone downhill, which is disappointing if you're after a proper meal with your drink.

Great location but the staff are very rude. I literally saw one of the bar ladies with glasses yelling at a customer for a very trivial reason, so unprofessional. In general most of the staff have a bad attitude and very unwelcoming. I have no idea who owns this pub, but these people will be the end of that business!

Hello Thinker
I had an extremely disappointing experience at The Gallery Pub in London. I asked politely if I could use the toilet. Despite this, an older woman working there – with a very unfriendly attitude – refused in a way that felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive in front of all customers! She seemed more interested in being mean than being helpful, and it left a really sour impression. How this place still has 4 points cant imagine:((

Wonderfully rude service. A great selection of you like lager. It could be your cup of tea. Modern, comfy interior. Benches outside, they don't seem to mind if you build a reefer. Nice real greenery outside although it is right on a busy road. Not my personal best experience (I prefer a slightly different culture) but it could be a handy stop- off. Give it a go but I wouldn't call it a destination pub. Didn't know it was a hotel too.

Used this pub for many years was great when it was Irish. Was very well presented and clean. Food was excellent. Very nice crowd always busy. After a6 year absence. The place has become very shabby and cluttered. Dirty walls etc. Food gone down hill. Shame

Hostel review: In my opinion, this is the perfect place to stay in London if you are a group of 4 or 6 and you can have the room on your own with a shared bathroom. The location is very good, you can walk to Big Ben (~30min) and there is a metro station exactly outside of the hostel and you can easily access most of the places in London. A big plus is the free breakfast, which is very rich, and makes this place a great value for money if you consider the priced of food in London at the moment. You can also have reduced priced in the pub. All ok all, totally recommended 👌🏻
