Right, let me tell you about The Gallant Pioneer – it's one of those spots in Blackpool that really stands out for all the right reasons. From what I've gathered from folks who've been there, the staff are absolute stars; they're friendly as can be and always on top of things, keeping everything running smoothly so you can just kick back and enjoy. That secret sky beer garden is a proper treat – it's like stumbling upon a hidden paradise just off the promenade, ideal for soaking up the atmosphere with a cold one in hand. The prices are fair and straightforward, which is always a win when you're out for a casual evening. It's a massive space too, all kept nice and clean, so there's room to breathe and chat without feeling cramped. On the downside, they don't do food at all, so if you're planning a full night out, you might need to sort that elsewhere to avoid going hungry. And if you're not a Rangers fan, the whole vibe might come across as a tad exclusive, with the music and memorabilia geared towards that crowd – but hey, that's part of its charm for many. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good laugh and a pint, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area, as long as you go in with the right expectations.

It can feel quite focused on Rangers supporters, which might not suit everyone if you're not into that scene – could be a bit one-sided for some.

Blackpool's hidden gem!!! *THE BAR IS UPSTAIRS ABOVE THE SHOPS**
Amazing people, amazing bar, fantastic beer garden!
I promise you this is the place to go!
We love the Gallant Pioneer, we are always there in June for our Annual Gathering, and the Pioneer.always make us so welcome, and we are mainly all Rangers Supporters too. Great Beer at great prices.
No food...
Cheapest place we'd been in Blackpool...
I'm A Rangers Season Ticket holder nd it was good...music was brill...lasdie serving was excellent...she never stopped.
We finally got to visit the Gallant Pioneer when we were away for a night in Blackpool over the weekend and it really was the highlight of the stay.
Coming in to the bar, Rangers songs were playing, creating the perfect audial backdrop as we took in the vast array of signed memorabilia from players old and new. It really is like a Rangers museum, with so many interesting things to look at and take in.
There's something about the atmosphere that makes the Gallant Pioneer the Gallant Pioneer. With friendly staff on one side of the bar and fellow fans on the other, you're always in great company.
If you're a Rangers fan and find yourself in Blackpool, you seriously need to check this place out. It's an experience in itself and we loved it.
SECRET sky beer garden ☺️ I've been wanting to visit for a while but the dreaded covid had kept them closed. My partner and i were not rangers before we visited but maybe a little bit now. Very friendly pub that's absolutely massive. I couldn't believe how big this place is. Very clean and well sanitised The staff are amazing and friendly. We didn't go long with an empty glasses. Excellent service. A lot of rangers fans here (obviously) celebrating their 55th title! Amazing! They were friendly and having a good time. Did I mention the SECRET sky beer garden? They have a SECRET sky beer garden that if you love blue you will love. It is a fantastic space that you can't believe you are just off the prom. Prices were average for the location and beer was lovely and cold. Would I visit again? Of course I would.
