The beer selection is absolutely spot on, with a fantastic range of Charnwood Brewery brews, plus local wines, gins, and even a genuine German Pils – perfect for a proper pint with mates.
The atmosphere is cosy and intimate, making it a brilliant spot for a relaxed chat and enjoying good company in a welcoming space.
Service is friendly and efficient, with staff who are knowledgeable and always up for a smile, adding to that warm, community feel.
It's a great addition to the local scene, offering a chilled-out vibe that's just right for unwinding after a long day.

Cons

Food options are pretty limited, with only sausage rolls, pork pies, and the occasional filled cob on weekends – not ideal if you're after a proper meal.
It's closed on Mondays, which can be a bit of a nuisance if you're planning a mid-week get-together.

Lovely decor and great beer, just like its sister pubs, the Sorrel Fox and the Hall Croft Tap. Service is also very friendly and efficient. A great addition to the Barrow pub scene.

What a great addition from the Charnwood Brewery for the village of Barrow-upon-Soar. Stable offerings of Salvation and Vixen supported with seasonal beer choices to " wet the whistle" and served with a smile by friendly, knowledgeable staff. The Fox Cub is a relaxed venue for meeting with friends and enjoying good locally brewed beer, Definitely my go-to place, but keep it a secret so it stays that way 😉.

Yet again, Charnwood brewery create a fantastic local pub, of course vixen and salvation are the main state of the traditional bitters along with the selection of others which include Stowford press cider. If you have not been to one of Charnwood breweries local pubs then you should. It is what a local little boozer should be. Highly highly recommended.

This place !!! Visited this lunchtime with the wife …. So long in the making and so worth the wait . Charnwood brewery have always made such good beers and all are on show and ready for drinking here (wine , gin and rum also available , along with a cider of stowford press ) !! They have a pilsner for the non ale drinkers also 🙌🏻. And also snacks of cobs , sausage rolls , samosas , nuts etc , dog friendly also , and adults only for that little bit of peace and quiet ! Cheers
