About This Pub

Ah, The Fountain Inn – what a gem it is! From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really knows how to do things right. The beers and ales on offer are just brilliant; there's such a variety that you'll find something new to try every time, and it's all served up in a cosy, old-school setting that feels like a proper step back in time. The staff are absolute stars too – always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels welcome, which is just what you want on a night out. It's spot on for families early on or if you're popping in with your furry friend, and those black pudding scotch eggs? Well, they're a real treat that might just become your new favourite. But, let's keep it real, it's not without its quirks. The opening times seem a tad confusing from what's listed, so you might end up double-checking before heading over. Plus, their website's a bit of a faff to get into, which could make planning a visit a smidge trickier. Overall, though, it's a solid choice for a relaxed pint or a catch-up with mates – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the positives far outweigh the niggles!

It's definitely a hidden Gem. A nice selection of beer on Tap and children are allowed inside til 8:30pm. Cat and dog friendly and friendly staff make this a must visit. Also the black pudding scotch eggs are a must.

What a great place. Was truly overwhelmed. Was so excited and got very emotional. Words cannot describe how I felt. I have not long been out of a Secure Mental Health Unit and this brings inspiration back to my life

Ale choice was good on previous visits, and this time, it had raised the bar to a new ale level. Great choice of beer, friendly locals, smashing staff, and a great atmospheric feel to the place.
